Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Reliability; Performance; Style
Cons: Gas mileage; price of repairs
The Bottom Line: It's been a perfect car for me and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a first car with a little bit of attitude and a lot of style.

August 2003: I purchased my Sunbird SE 3.1L-v6 in 1996 when it had 30k miles on it. It now has 140k miles on it and it's been an awesome car. It's fully loaded - power windows, ABS, power locks, auto-trans, AC, alloy wheels, cruise control, rear window ...

Pros: Good equipment quality.
Cons: Bad for home service.

Man, who ever they had design this thing, they've never been a mechanic! I'm not a pro, but when I tried to replace the starter, I simpley could not do it! My 87' 4-door model is not a small car. It's pretty average size really, but the engin is...

Pros: handles and rides comfortably
Cons: sqeaky fan-belts (occasionally)

Well I bought my Sunbird from a Pontiac Dealer where I live and I have had great experiences with it the only trouble I had with it was that the alternator went out after I bought it but it was totally covered. It handles great and it saves gas very...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Sturdy, dependible, cute, stylish, wonderful, drove great, turned on a dime, reliable
Cons: some shakes/rattles (age related)
The Bottom Line: it's an amazing little car that will keep on going forever so it seems. in roll over crash, it held up amazingly. great bass in back, drove great.

I had an electric blue 1994 Sunbird 2DR Coupe LE for my first car, bought in 2002. It was a cute little thing with it's stylish look and my personalizations to it (nothing body wise, i'm talking interior wise), everybody knew it was me. for a high school ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good mileage, reliable, solid
Cons: Cramped interior, noisy, lousy sound system
The Bottom Line: If you can find one with reasonable miles for $3,000 or so, I wouldn't think twice about it.

I bought my Sunbird two years ago, paying $3700 for an LE with a rebuilt title, 73,000 miles and some small cosmetic things. In those two years, I've put nearly 20,000 more miles on it, with minimal repairs. Front discs needed to be replaced at around ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Very Easy Handling, Great Gas Mileage, surprising power for a 4 cylinder
Cons: Was pretty rusty when reached about 7 years old
The Bottom Line: If you are young and looking for a cheap car that is reliable and gets good gas mileage, this is the car for you.

I was extremely satisfied with my 94 Pontiac Sunbird. I had it from 1995 to summer of 2002. I had it during my teeanage years and it took the abuse I gave it really well. It is a very easy car to drive. It has got more power and acceleration than...

Cons: -doors are large and heavy
The Bottom Line: Good, tough car for young people

Before I get started, I will apologize for using all metric units! I don't know the imperial system- sorry!

I have owned my '94 Sunbird for about a year now. I bought it for $4000 dollars, with about 110,000 kms on it. Unfortunately I don't...

Pros: almost paid for
Cons: paid way to much

I bought my 1994 Pontiac Sunbird LE 4 cylinder in 1997 from a car lot. It is pretty roomy in the front but a little cramped in the back. The back seat is great for kids. It drives pretty well. When I bought it it had 64,446 miles on it and now it has...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Extremely reliable. Great gas mileage.
Cons: Bad paint. Developed rust prematurely. Brakes pad wear quicker than normal.
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend the car if the car has been taking care of by its owner. My reasons being stated below.

I can't say enough about my car. I've had it for six years (April 1996) and the only unexpected expense was a new alternator four years ago. I have 153,000 miles on it and it runs just as good as it did at 53,000. Other than routine maintenance I...

Pros: faithful
Cons: lacks power

This car is a good car if you are not going to be too mad if you get beat off the line at stop lights. It has great performance and great handling but it does lack in top speed. But take heart in the fact that you can hold the curves at a much higher...

Pros: None
Cons: Falls apart, Poor workmanship.

I bought this vehicle under the incentive that I would recieve $500 off of the sticker price of this car. The car seemed nice at first then little things started happening. The car started shaking-I took it in almost five times before I finally gave up...

Cons: Cant find a car cd player or tape player that will fit it!

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Very Stylish, Inexpensive to Buy, Good Gas Mileage, Handles Beautifully
Cons: Not a Powerful Engine, Cramped Back Seats, Poor Dash Speakers
The Bottom Line: Get it for the looks and price, don't expect much power.

After my 1986 Chevy Celebrity bit the dust awhile back, it was time to start looking. What did I look for in my next car? It had to look good, drive well, and cost under $5,000. That's why I chose a 1994 Sunbird, with 59,000 miles for $4,800.

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Low cost of operation
Cons: Not the most luxurious
The Bottom Line: Like any American made car, you'll get more lemons than the Japanese cars. However, if you get a good one, it will be good for a long time.

I bought a used '94 Sunbird with 125,000miles for just $1700.00. The original owner put alot of highway miles going 4 hours one way back and forth to work. He did a great job keeping this car clean because the interior and exterior are like new. The...

Pros: Stylying (for that decade)
Cons: fit and finish, interior quality, reliability.
The Bottom Line: The newest one around is a 1994, which is 14 years old. AVOID IT

In february of 2001 we Bought a used Pontiac Sunbird from the local car dealer. When we bought the car, it had 121,000 miles on it. After test driving a few other cars and doing some research at epinions.com I was convinced that the Pontiac Sunbird was a ...
