Pros: Great Looking Car, Honda Reliability, Performance, Just About Everything Cons: Cheap stock speakers. They had to discontinue this car in 2001. The Bottom Line: There is nothing more to say. Buy it!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with my work, I urge you to read my review of the 1992 Honda Prelude (My Dream Car) for a more in depth analysis of my obsession with the Prelude, and for Hondas in general. It has now been four years since I was ...

Pros: Great looks, great handling, and VTEC is a great motor. No mechanical problems. Cons: Low seating and quality of interior leather. The Bottom Line: This is a very good car, the engine is bulletproof, maintenance is easy, it performs spectacularly, and it is still fun to drive after 5 years. Absolutely recommended.
I have been driving my 1996 Honda Prelude VTEC for about 5 years now, and it has never given me any problems. It is still fun to drive after all that time too. This is an excellent handling car, and the 190 hp 2.2L VTEC engine gives me the go power...

Pros: Comfortable. Still accellerates at 90mph. Cons: Headlight beam in fog & heavy drizzle. Rev limiter. The Bottom Line: I can`t think of a better car for a similar price or even one that`s nearly comparable. Most that perform better cost twice as much.
The automatic gearbox in our 2.0L 1981 Saab finally gave up so we needed a new car. Fuel consumption didn`t figure high on our list since the Saab hadn`t done better than 20mpg for years and was using oil at a similar rate. We didn`t have many ideas on...

The Honda Prelude - Definitely a "dream" to own. I've been a Honda owner all of my driving life (now going on 20 plus years). My first Honda was a Civic, then an Accord and finally, "MY" dream car - a brand new 1996 Honda Prelude...

Hey guys, I have a 1996 honda prelude S model. I bought this car half a year ago and it has been a pleasant ride. Even though it is the S model (the weakest of the preludes), it is fast as hell. When I bought it i was surprised because it was extremely ...

Pros: great acceleration, handling = fun car Cons: no back seat worth speaking of, worthless front window defroster The Bottom Line: It is a truly fantastic car, and is one of the reasons that the import tuning craze is at such a high level.
I got a 1996 Honda Prelude about 4 months ago, with 69000 miles on it. Since then, I have gone 1500 miles, and have not had a problem with it.
The acceleration has been great, and seems to have gotten better. Since the car is front wheel drive,...

Pros: Great exterior styling, nice power for a 4-cyl Honda, Honda reliability Cons: Gauge package is the dumbest looking thing on earth The Bottom Line: Simple traditional analog gauges would have made this car perfect.
What a terrific car. Great looks. Get the VTEC model; the lesser kin of the Preldue are really nothing to write home about in terms of power. Again, let me re-iterate: great looks.
Except for the electro-luminescent-Japan-futuro gauge...

Pros: -Handles and corners great
-Sporty
-Dependable in all weather conditions Cons: -Lack of room in back seat
-Reflection of dashboard lights on windshield on foggy nights.
I owned my 1996 Prelude for nearly 7 seven years and was very satisfied with it's dependability. The Prelude is really a great car to own! I always wanted a Prelude and purchased my car in 1999. I recently got into a bad accident with it (just about a week ago) and it was considered totaled, at 207,000 miles and still running great! I just found a 2001 Prelude today which I have plans of purchasing... it is so unfortunate the Prelude has been discontinued.
