Pros: Standard features, auto on headlights, lefty cupholder, V6 power, the looks. Cons: Brakes, MPG, unreliability. The Bottom Line: If you are looking at one, have it checked out by a trusted mechanic first. Otherwise, take your money and buy a used Toyota, Nissan, Mazda or Honda.
Back in November, my parents decided I needed to replace my 1993 Nissan Altima (see review)with 190,000 miles. Since they were to be my financial backers, I decided to oblige them. It came down to 2 choices (I didn't get much say in the choices as ...

Pros: Nice acceleration, quick and nimble. Price was right (can't expect perfection with 100K miles). Cons: Head gasket blowing at 100K seems common. Some electrical problems. The Bottom Line: Don't get taken to the cleaners when you buy one of these. Mine was good for the money..can't expect perfection on a car like this!
I bought my Olds with roughly 100K miles on it in March 2005 for under $3000. The day after taking it home, I discovered a head gasket leak. My neighbor had a '98 Chevrolet Malibu which is basically the same car. He had to have his head gasket ...

Pros: I've usually been able to get from point A to point B. Cons: It's cost me as much in repairs as it has in car payments. The Bottom Line: This thing is garbage. I forgot to mention, this is a NOISY car. Lots of rattles and creaks for no reason.
This is an update to a review I previously wrote on this product way back in 2001. My username was dockhday and I wrote the review on November 29, 2001. Unfortunately, I don't use this site much and I ended up having to create a new ID because epinions ...

My 1998 Cutlass GL
Let's go back to the year 1998. Oldsmobile had come out with a new style for their Cutlass, new options and a sleeker look. I had at the time a 1992 Olds Cutlass Sierra S and loved it. However, I needed...

Pros: Excellent handling, very smooth ride, roomy interior, lots of options, very affordable as pre-owned vehicle. Cons: Has some issues with rattling sounds under dash, in rear, and elsewhere. Gas mileage marginal. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car if you can score a deal as sweet as the one I got. Look for lowest miles possible and it's a steal.
If you can find the 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass used and with fairly low miles for a reasonable price, you will be getting alot of car for your money. Mine has run beautifully in the months that I have owned it and it really handles like a car should. I...

Pros: Leather, 4 door Cons: Leather smells, trunk shakes, car wobbles.
My Grandma has a 1998 Olds Cutlass GLS and the car is terrible! Sometimes she picks me up from somewhere, and were two blocks away from home, and it squeaks terribly! It is not a smooth ride either, and I do not recommend this car to young people. I...

Pros: large in space. Cons: the color of the car might not be what you want.
It is a very spacious car and it is sold at a very low price. If you are a person that want a small car that is very affordable, this is the perfect car. When I went to the car lot, my first choice was to go with the malibu; but when I saw the cutlass...
