Pros: Excellent long lasting front end. Cons: Don't up or downsize tire sizes.
I have read many reviews on automobiles from aesthetic, interior, power, warranty, options, etc... points of view. I believe an important, but always neglected area, though is from an undercar point of view, and let me tell you,...

Pros: Excellent used car value, best convertible soft-top on the market, loads of fun Cons: Everyone wants a turn driving, torque-steer (until you get used to it) The Bottom Line: The best used convertible value on the market. Test drive it and you won't be able to talk yourself out of buying one.
I spent close to nine months shopping for my first convertible. As I shopped, I had a few basic criteria in mind: 1)Usable backseat (My wife and I are starting a family soon, and it must be able to accomodate a child seat); 2)GLASS rear window;...

Pros: Haartz cloth top, Glass rear window, automatic boot, excellent paint and leather Cons: Sluggish, so-so appearance, base alloys are UGLY, melts own taillights The Bottom Line: Good value for the money, as long as you are not a speed junkie. Be sure to use mid-grade gas.
This car stayed with my ex-wife, but I wouldn't have minded keeping it. Black on black on black, it was the unwanted puppy at our local Saab dealer, overshadowed by Turbos and '99s with the new 9-3 nomenclature. We got it for nearly $8,000 off the...

Pros: Mechanically Sound Cons: Ugly
When I first saw it I thought to myself this car isn't going to last for more than twenty thousand miles. When I got this car for 800 dollars and 150,000 miles both my step dad and I thought it was going to be a junker. Yet I'm at 211,000 miles now and...

Pros: Fun to drive, great convertible top Cons: Overpriced, plenty of annoying glitches
The 900 SE (Turbo Convertible) is a fun car to drive, with great acceleration and a HUGE backseat for a convertible. I have sat in the back without a problem, but I usually have my two children back there in carseats. However, my car had plenty of...

Pros: Performance
Price
Styling Cons: Front wheel drive The Bottom Line: Outperforms and outclasses the Accord. Too bad you can't beat Honda quality. Very good value for the money.
I really liked this car. When I bought it I was looking for something practical, but there was a sporty and unique side to me that just wasn't satisfied with the Accord/Camry realm. The 2.0 Turbo engine with a 5-speed transmission made pretty good ...

Pros: Fun to drive, Quality top. Good gas mileage. Good power. Cons: Quirky, things break more often than a Toyota for example. The Bottom Line: If buying used, have the car checked out very carefully. The top system is very complex and potentially an expensive repair.
I have owned my 1998 900 SE Conv for about a year now. After purchasing it used on eBay (hmmm not sure I recommend this method)I noticed a serious of quirky issues that needed to be resolved. The best thing I did was go on the Internet and find SaabNet. ...

Pros: none Cons: Completely UNRELIABLE!! The Bottom Line: DO NOT BUY IT, unless you want to spend a lot of time at the dealer for service, and a lot of time walking because your car's in the shop.
DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!! I have had my car in for service more times than I can count. Warning lights go on about every six weeks. Most of the time the warning lights have gone on because of an electrical problem and not a brake or engine failure, as...

Pros: gas mileage, safety, reliable, sleek Cons: no real cons
I used to own a used car business, and I sold at least a dozen Saab convertibles. The Swedish sure know how to make cars. They are the most reliable cars in the world. These cars rarely need any maintenance and have great gas mileage. I can get about...

Pros: fun, sleek, handles nicely Cons: customer service, old car trouble rumors still true
Close to 2 years ago I leased a 1998 Saab 900S Convertible. What was not to love? Great balance and handling, sleek frame and plush leather, and more can pack in more fun than a two-petered puppy! I have always liked Saab due to their niche market,...
