Pros: 4-wheel drive, good visibility, car-like feel Cons: under-powered, some sacrifice in maneuverability
{update}
My RAV is now nearly two-years old. I've not had any difficulties with it, other than the bull's eye on the rear end that got me rear-ended twice in the first six months I owned it. Both repairs were done in Carmel, Indiana at Butler...

Pros: Fair price, great handling, good gas mileage, sporty, fun to drive Cons: not long enough to store and haul anything longer than 6'
I have owned my Toyota RAV4 for almost 2 years. I wanted something with more interior room than I'd had in my pickup truck, but I still wanted to be able to haul and tow. After scouring the web and reading multiple reviews, I decided to give the RAV4 a...

Pros: Fun, unique styling, peppy engine Cons: it's not a Strong engine, and it lacks room.
The Rav4 was designed to be a rebirth of the Toyota AWD wagon (what it was called, I cannot remember, if someone would let me know, I'd be more than happy to put it in here for historical value).
The concept of that AWD wagon was simple: a...

Pros: too many to list! Cons: none
Anyone in the market for a small sport utility vehicle would be wise to choose the Rav4. It has all the qualities and reliability of a Toyota. They are rated excellent by Consumer Reports. It was voted vehicle of the year for 1997.
It does not have...

Pros: Zippy Handling, Good Mileage for SUV Cons: Tight Legroom, Gutless Engine, Expensive Repairs, Childseat Incompatible The Bottom Line: A gutless mini-SUV with space for little more than yourself and your briefcase.
I drove a RAV4 for 4 weeks last year when my sister-in-law and her husband went out of town. I work 4 miles from my house, so I wasn't worried about putting too many miles on the vehicle. I did use it every day, though, and came to dislike it rather...

Pros: headroom, handling, braking, gearbox, fuel economy, AWD system, ground clearance, reliability Cons: interior a bit cramped, engine needs to be revved to make power The Bottom Line: Overall, a very practical and fun little car.
The more I drive this RAV4, the better I like it. I'm a professional motorcyclist but really enjoy this little car in the winter. Four things in particular stand out for me: 1) Headroom -I'm 6' tall with a tall trunk and with the RAV4 I finally have...

Pros: Good Winter Traction, good handling for SUV, good on gas Cons: A Little under powered on Highway
I bought this vehicle because I needed something that would get me through the winter and not cost an arm and a leg in Gas. So far it has more than exceeded my expectations. Gas mileage is on par with the Acura Integra I was driving before, and so far...

Pros: great gas mileage, fun to drive, cute! Cons: small back seat
I recently purchased a used 1998 2 door RAV4 for myself. I was a little hesitant when making this decision because this particular model was not a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Since my last 3 vehicles were 4 wheel drive and I do live in an area where it...

Pros: Great traction, gas mileage, nimble, reliable. Cons: Rear seat room and interior noise.
I've leased my Toyota RAV4 since 1998 and the longer I drive it the more I love it. In fact, this is perhaps the first vehicle that I've leased in 10 years of leasing that I'm considering buying at lease end.
I originally leased this vehicle...

Pros: Sits high, reclining back seats Cons: squeaky breaks, little leg room for tall people
I purchased my Rav 4 two months shy of two years ago. I purchased it because our other car was only a two door and it was getting difficult to get my kids in and out of the car as they grew. The Rav4 offered a sporty style, while giving the kids some...

Pros: great in the snow, good gas mileage Cons: really bad cupholder, small backseat
In 1997, a friend of mine bought a RAV4, and I thought it was the cutest car I had ever seen! About a year later, my Geo Prism was on its last legs, so my husband and I went car shopping.
The only car I really wanted to look at was the RAV4...

Pros: Looks good, reliable, spacious, affordable Cons: Bad tires, low power, AWD not great
I originally purchased this vehicle in 1998 because I was moving to Ohio from Washington state with my wife, dog, and 3 hamsters, and I wanted a vehicle that was spacious, affordable, dependable, and good in the snow. The RAV4 has pretty much lived up...

Pros: Safe, comfortable, reliable, long lasting Cons: Certain parts are known to go out in Toyotas The Bottom Line: I love this vehicle so much I getting another
The Toyota Rav4 is an all around great vehicle. It gets good gas mileage, its roomy, but not too big. The motor runs great and Toyota motors will run for 300,000 mles or more easily with regular maintenence. I have owned several Toyotas previously ...

Pros: Great gas mileage, great traction on wet or snowy roads Cons: Minor problems, Not the prettiest interior
It's a great, inexpensive 4 wheel drive vehicle. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and it runs right through the snow even in our steep driveway. It rides like a care and handles well. It is reasonably priced; not any more than a mid-size car.

Pros: visibility, reliability, space, feel of a car Cons: none for me!
I have a 1998 RAV4 that I bought new. Two years later, I am just as in love with it as when I first got it, or maybe I should say, BEFORE I got it.
I fell in love with the RAV when it first came out, but did not have the means to buy one at...
