Pros: Styling, room, handling Cons: Weak engine, low rear seat, large dash The Bottom Line: Attractive styling, but little else.
From the first spy photos, I have really liked the looks of the Chrysler Cirrus and Dodge Stratus “cloud cars.”. (I have placed an identical review under both names, so if you read one there is no need to read the other.) As you may have gathered, I ...

Pros: Very well built steering and suspension systems. Cons: None worth mentioning.
1st A LITTLE ON WHY I ONLY REVIEW AUTOMOBILES SUSPENSION SYSTEMS:
I have been a State of Michigan certified steering and suspension technician for almost 15 years, and certified in other areas for over 22 years. I...

Pros: Very roomy, Affordable price, Many standard features, Good gas mileage Cons: Noisy, Seats not supportive enough, Ceiling too low in front, Weak engine for SE, Poor fit & finish quality
FIRST IMPRESSION:
Dodge makes great trucks, but do they make good cars? Their recent advertising campaign really hit the consumer market with great ads and a powerful "Red" advertising scheme (a red minivan, red Viper, red Ram...

Pros: good price, roomy for very tall people, very big trunk Cons: noisy, not good in snow/ice, difficult to view rear end, large dashboard, uncomfortable seats The Bottom Line: Recommended for someone in a fairly warm climate, does not make very long trips, but drives short distances often, especially someone who requires a lot of cargo space.
It may be somewhat stereotypical, but I am a woman driver. I don't know the horsepower or specifications of my car, but I'm the one who chose it, I take care of it, I drive it every day, and I put a lot of miles on it.
When I first bought my car,...

Pros: Body styling; handling; interior room; huge trunk. Cons: Some quality problems; can be expensive to maintain. The Bottom Line: Sporty and quick and handles great on the road. Great all around sedan.
I bought my Stratus used, but with low miles, almost three years ago. I've really enjoyed the car; it's been one of the best I've owned and is a pleasure to drive.
Pros - first there's the roominess. Dodge uses the "cab forward" design and...

Pros: Size, seating comfort, reliability, low price of pre-owned models. Cons: Resale value is only a concern for those who trade cars every few years. The Bottom Line: Unless you're going to resell, this car is a great value for someone who wants to own and drive a reliable, efficient, spacious vehic.e.
We bought our 2000 Dodge Stratus in the summer of 2003. With 77,000 miles on it from it's use as a military recruiter's car, it wasn't in bad shape at all considering it's past. From a manufacturing quality standpoint, there has been nothing wrong with ...

Pros: Spacious, good engine Cons: cup holders, minor annoyances The Bottom Line: The Stratus is sporty, roomy, and gets the job done, though a little more problematic than it should be.
After 3 years and 50,000 miles, my family is very pleased with this car. I bought the Stratus ES (loaded, leather, with V6 engine) with 22,000 miles from a dealer in early 2001 for use as a family car. We now have two children in carseats, and we take ...

Pros: Looks on the Outside Cons: Mostly the Interior
I am renting Dodge Stratus because one of our vehicles is in the shop. I have to say that I'm completely torn on whether or not I like it. The ES that I'm driving does have a very sporty appearance and I like the white gauges. The only thing I don't...

Pros: Good styling. Nice standard features. TONS of room. Cons: Relatively poor gas mileage. The Bottom Line: Nice car for a small family just starting out.
First off, let me say this: I have read the other opinions about the weak engine in the SE. This is not a performance sedan, sports car, or even a sporty car.
This car is what it is - a nice car with tons of interior room, a huge trunk and...

Pros: Styling, roomy interior, performance Cons: Everything else
Just before my 18th birthday, I started looking for a new car to replace my aging 91 Mercury Topaz. During my look I had only a couple of vehicles I wanted to avoid, a Honda Civic (because everyone had one at the time) and a Dodge Neon (all the reviews...

Pros: Extremely comfortable and smooth ride, good leg room, decent mileage Cons: Not-as-roomy back seats, People still think of Dodge as "uncool" cars
We purchased a 2000 Dodge Stratus last August and have been extremely pleased -- and surprised -- with this vehicle. At first, we were hesitant about buying an American car (we owned an Audi prior to this car), but the fact that the Germans had taken...

Pros: Very good looks, comfortable driver's position, decent ride, good stereo, great value Cons: head gasket, brake performance The Bottom Line: A sporty sedan than can does a good job of being practical and fun at the same time.
I bought this car about a year and a half ago, and so far I must say I am very satisfied with the Stratus.
The short of my review: A great looking, mostly reliable car that drives very well for a family sedan.
The long of my review is as...
