Pros: Great all around rocket with good handling and plenty of room for the whole family. Cons: Expensive repair bills possibly? The Bottom Line: Perfect compromise for practical yet fun for those that want more from a car.
The Backstory: So my wife and I had a Honday Civic Hatchback as our primary dog car and grocery getter road trip car. With all our other cars being two seaters we needed at least one practical car. The civic may not sound like a grocery getter ...

Pros: Performance, Utility, Reliability, Sporty driving pleasure with luxurious comfort Cons: Wheel alignment, Rear end appearance The Bottom Line: S4 Avant, the one that started the Performance Wagon trend. I HIGHLY recommend this car!
I have the Avant (Wagon) version of the 2001 S4, 6spd, black on black. I leased the car when new, as I figured I'd be upgrading to the newer version of either a future S4, or something else more appealing on the market by 2005. Long story short, I now ...

Pros: Acceleration, especially mid range power, understated yet luxurious/sporty looks, refined interior, respect from true autophiles Cons: rear seat room, too quiet for such a powerful car The Bottom Line: If you want a luxurious and refined ENTHUSIAST sports sedan, but don't want to pay the M3 or AMG premium price, then this is the car for you
I bought this car Certified Pre-Owned about 4 months ago and I love it. I wanted a 4 door sedan that was fast AND luxurious, and for the money, this was by far my best bet. If you have the extra cash, take a look at the M3, but if you want to keep your ...

Pros: This car is very cool and fun look to it
good weekend car Cons: Not one of the best family cars on the market. The Bottom Line: If your not a family man just a person looking for fun this is it
The body has a very sleek and sexy design i love it and so do the women. The body really brings out the sports car features it has im into racing and when you see it it feels
like a race car. I think it could have a more aerodynamic
sharper...

Pros: Terrific engine; close ratio gearing; good grip; all-weather poise; sleeper looks Cons: Tight rear-seat; inadequate storage space for CDs/other knick-knacks The Bottom Line: Buy it because
1. Quickest production sedan under 50K. 2. Its a sleeper - better for surpising so-called sport cars 3. A Corvette you can take your kids to school.
I bought an S4 6sp last week. Have put it through its paces in the hills and on winding freeways. The car is simply awesome.
Engine/gearbox:
One of the 2 stand-out features of the car. The engine makes torque everywhere - from 2K to 6K...

Pros: Fit and finish, Scary fast, feel the G's, 4x4 for the speed freak. Cons: Back seat room is tight(I'm 6'3"). Scary fast. Windshield chips. The Bottom Line: Buy it, drive it, love it. I am a very picky person and the S4 met all of my expectations.
Ever since I saw the movie "Ronin" I have been enamored by the Audi line. "Ronin" is by far the best car chase movie made in years, but that is another review. The bad experience several friends have had with the early 4000 and 5000 Audi lines have kept...

Pros: Engine torque, elegant looks, comfortable ride, sweet interior, free maintenance, fun to drive Cons: I didn't buy it in the first place! (bought A4, more on that later) The Bottom Line: I drove a BMW 330i to see if this was my answer to my A4 disenchantment. Can't compare to the S4. Problem- now my wife wants one too!

Pros: Unbelievably Quick, 4WD, handling, sporty yet classy style, composed but efficient Cons: ??? Rear leg room maybe! The Bottom Line: Highly Recommended: AUDI's superior engineering, top quality, awesome engine and handling in a beautiful yet not flashy package, exceptional safety. A car for all.
The Audi S4 is a wonderful alternative to the more expensive and more difficult to drive BMW M3. I love BMWs and the M3 is an excellent car, above all with the latest engine. However the Audi is a better car for 97% of the people on the market for this...

Pros: smooth, powerful engine; excellent handling; excellent brakes; excellent build quality Cons: not aggressive-looking enough; long wait to get one; poor city gas mileage The Bottom Line: In short, this car struck the superior balance for me in terms of sheer performance (braking, curves and flat-out speed), luxury and comfort, and utility.
This car is all about balance. I found this car to have the best set of compromises between pure sport, luxury and utility of the Bimmers I compared it to. I own this car (2001) in the fabulous Nogaro Blue/Blue alcantara ext/interior color combo, with...

Pros: Exceedingly powerful engine, nicely designed exterior and interior, nice 6 speed manual, 4 wheel drive Cons: slightly cramped rear seat, looks much like a standard-order A4 The Bottom Line: This is a well disguised race-family car. It is both practical, but exceedingly fun to drive. If you can afford the 40 large, this car will serve you very well.
The Audi S4 is a truly impressive machine. It looks much like an average family sedan, and is priced similarly to far inferior automobiles. However, it's capable of keeping up with some of the faster cars on the road.
Here's my usual...

Pros: Power, AWD stick, build quality, looks Cons: looks (not muscular enough), not as engaging and exciting as some competitors
This review is for a 2001 Audi S4 that I drove on several occasions.
For 2001, the S4 got ESP (electronic stability Program) standard, where on the 2000's it wasn't even available as an option. I find it strange that it's named the same as...

Pros: Twin-Turbo V6,4 wheel drive,Six speed Cons: None
The Audi S4 is a great car. The one car that can come close to this car is the BMW M3. In my opinion the S4 is the better of the two and it helps out your wallet. The S4 packs a 2.7 V-6 twin-turbo engine that pumps out 250hp and does 0-60 in 5.5sec....

I've been looking at new cars lately, and one of the dream vehicles on my list is the Audi S-4. This is the performance sports sedan from Audi. Based on the A-4, but with a killer engine, improved suspension, and a sports look, this is a fine...

Pros: stealthy and wickedly fast yet composed Cons: long shifter throws, cavernous trunk eats away at rear seat legroom
Back in January I started looking for a new car to replace my Acura Integra. It ultimately came down to the BMW 328Ci and Audi A4 2.8. I liked the more aggressive styling of the BMW 3-series but I couldn't justify the ~$38,000 price tag for the 328Ci...
