Hi! This is Ron Ravetti the internet manager at Big Valley Ford. I have read your synopsis. It sure appears you have done quite a bit of research on the supercrew. True, it is quite a unique vehicle. However, as to Saturn's new SUV coming out I remain...

Pros: 1st minivan to earn the U. S. government's five star front crash test rating. Cons: Poor ergonomics and dashboard layout. The Bottom Line: It would be ideal if Ford could match safety and customer satisfaction.

Pros: comfortable ride with full features Cons: limited colors and ride can be uneasy The Bottom Line: The Windstar LX 4 door minivan is a safe and comfortable family car with full features.
We purchased the Ford 2001 Windstar LX 4 door Minivan in March of this year. Our son was born in August of last year and my sporty little Nissan and my husband's small pickup truck weren't exactly family style vehicles. We decided on the Windstar...

I purchased this van used at a Ford dealership in my area about two years ago, so I feel I have had sufficient time to evaluate it. I purchased this in August of 2004. Only my mother and I drive this van, and we generally use it for cargo, so I can't ...

Pros: Handles pretty well, decent gas mileage, plenty of room, cruises nicely Cons: Uncomfortable seats for sleeping, slightly clumsy turns, generally a little bulky The Bottom Line: Easy to drive and handle, cruises nicely, lots of room, but almost impossible to sleep comfortably in. Due to a combination of circumstances with which I will not bore my busy audience, it was recently necessary that I make a trip from Boston, MA to Atlanta, GA and back, a journey of some 1000-odd miles each way. Due to the amount of luggage that needed...

Pros: powerful engine, amenities, better seats than 95-98 models Cons: soft ride, marginal handling, refinement (lack of) The Bottom Line: The Windstar is a solid choice for those who want a decent van with good power and a reasonably large number of amenities at a good price
In search of minivans, we were looking for good performance, decent gas mileage, good reliability and good utility. With the '01 Windstar, we found most of that, but in comparison to the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna, this somewhat antiquated...

We recently purchased a 2001 Windstar SE. I was one of those minivan hater's in the past. I was never, never, NEVER, going to get a minivan. Well, I've completely changed my mind. The past year I've been dreaming of owning one of these babies! We...

Pros: If the vehicle was so bad, it would have been taken off the road, right? Cons: I really think the sliding door feature is going to fail. The Bottom Line: Although Ford is a well known Company, occasionally even they have problems when releasing a new vehicle.
Apparently the automatic closing sliding door feature is in earlier Windstars as well, but I'm sure we would have heard about more injuries if they were made so improperly.
The Windstar 2001.
I went to visit my fiance at...

Pros: Strong motor, great safety, good layout, quality interior. Cons: Not as flashy as Chrysler or GM products, gas milage could be better. The Bottom Line: A roomy, sporty, safe, well appointed minivan with the best safety of the big 3.
We had a 2000 Ford Taurus SE for about a year, but a long road trip with our 3 children taught us that we needed more room. A quick search on the internet led us to the Ford Dealer for a 2001 SE Sport.

Pros: Roomy, solid build, plenty of power Cons: Rear door hard to open The Bottom Line: I would not hesitate to try this one out.
We needed a minivan for our family. Tried out the 2001 model with no extras-base model. It has plenty of power and I know what I'm talking about. I have some high-powered vehicles and hate limp-wristed rides. Easy to get in and out of. Durable materials,...
