Pros: well-designed, well-built, economical, handles well Cons: small back seat; somewhat unattractive The Bottom Line: A prime example of Toyota's consistent quality of design and manufacture. Need economy and reliability in a small car? Look to the Corolla or the Honda Civic.
I didn't exactly get the pick of the litter at my neighborhood Enterprise Rent-a-Car last week. In fact, I got the runt. It seems that with about half the underground parking garages in Houston having flooded the week before, rental cars are at a premium...

Pros: The corolla lives up to its reputation as a dependable and practical car. Cons: High resale prices for a car that isn't perfect. The Bottom Line: The Corolla isn't perfect, but its still a worthy buy on the used car market.
After shopping around for a compact car under $10k, my sister settled on a used 2001 Corolla CE. Ultimately, the Corollas reputation for reliability and value made the decision. I have been sharing the Corolla with my sister for the past few ...

Pros: Great fuel economy, solid look and feel, Toyota reliability. Cons: Seats are uncomfortable, poorly designed and executed audio system, other minor gripes (see review) The Bottom Line: Corolla is great for a used car for value, reliability and fuel economy. The car has it's quirks and minor annoyances but it's worth the tradeoff.
This is to be my revamped Epinion on this particular car. The first review was written in late 2000 when my parents bought this car new from our local Toyota dealer. A couple of weeks ago, they decided to purchase a new Dodge Stratus (look for my review...

Pros: Luxury Options, 125 horses, somewhat roomy interior, huge truck Cons: lack of foot space in the back seats, smoking package comes standard The Bottom Line: If you want to get the best car you possibly can buy with minimal amount of money, buy this car because it's a great economical buy.
I had plenty of options to choose from when purchasing my first car, but I when it finally came down to it I found that the 2001 Toyota Corolla LE is the most stylish, luxurious, and roomy car with great fuel economy for the money I had with which I...

Pros: it keeps running, parks easy, drives easy. Cons: bland and boring, expensive repairs, ugly interior, slow pick up. The Bottom Line: If you myst blend in it's the one! I find it very uninspiring. It's also had way more problems than I'd think from it's reputation.
I often have troubles finding my car in the huge parking lots of big malls and retailers, but somehow my own bright red Ford Probe almost screams its own name at me. My boyfriend’s car – a 2001 Corolla LE – on the other hand, is usually one of at least ...

Pros: My Wife survived a side-collision in a "98 Corolla Cons: Safety options such as side airbags should have been basic in 2001
The Toyota Corolla may not be as flashy as Toyota Camry and others in this or near category. But it sure lives up to the company's high standards of quality, durability, and value. Who does not want to have more money in the bank or stock market instead...

Pros: Our '96 Corolla sold us for the 2001 Cons: Back seat somewhat cramped for larger folks The Bottom Line: We are sold on Toyota!
The 258,971 nearly trouble free miles spent 'living' in our '96 Corolla sent us this past January straight to the 2001 Corolla LE now parked in our garage.
My husband's work as a building inspector causes us to spend many hours and travel many...

Pros: Great gas mileage and compact size. Headlights are always on. Cons: Not too roomy. No leg room. The Bottom Line: Buy the car because it will save you money on the rising price of gas.
How much do you pay for gas whenever you fill up the full tank? How often do you fill you gas? Initially, I did not buy my Toyota Corolla for great gas mileage. I bought it for my family. I bought it for long drives. The 2001 Toyota Corolla is a great ...

Pros: Quiet, Comfortable, Great Tunes Cons: No Sports Car
Hi. I traded in my cherry original-owner 1984 Black Jetta GLI when the engine rebuild showed signs of wear. Tempted to spring for a 2001 Jetta VR6, I decided there were too many of them on these San Francisco East Bay streets.
So I looked at a...

Pros: Style, GREAT on gas, peppy 4-cylinder, nice materials Cons: Rear Seat Room, NO TRUNK LIGHT on CE model The Bottom Line: In buying a used car, I HIGHLY recommend the 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla. The new 2003 design is also great and has some improvements. Toyota: the best car PERIOD.
INTRODUCTION
When our 1990 Toyota Camry that we bought new broke down after 180,000 miles, my dad and I set out to buy a brand new Toyota. Since it had been eleven years since a new car, we weren't sure what to expect and purchase. In 1998, my...

Pros: Interior design, exterior look, comfort, handling, reliability, value, Cons: a little more pricey
The 2001 Toyota Corolla basically competes with the Nissan Sentra and the Mazda protege in the economy sedan arena (I would say the Ford Focus as well, but it's been given questionable reliability ratings, so for buying a new car, it was out of the...

Pros: Very peppy, extremely economical, and fun to drive. Cons: Not too glamorous, but a great value and a long-term car. The Bottom Line: If I wasn't sooo happy with MY 97 4Runner, I'd trade it off for a Corolla S to match the Missus'.
We were forced into a new car unexpectedly when our 96 Subaru developed expensive tranny problems at 46,000 miles. Price point was a BIG issue for us, and we looked at the Ford Focus, as well as the Toyota Corolla. We stumbled upon an "S" version...5...

Pros: Very solid, wonderful ride, quiet and responsive with great mpg. Cons: Absolutely none The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to anyone who wants comfort and economy along with a very comfortable, quiet ride.
My Corolla LE is the best money I've ever spent. The nice, quiet, smooth ride is unmatched in any other car its size. I drove all of the competition prior to buying e.g. Civic, Sentra, etc. and they didn't come close. Toyota reliability is another...
