Pros: Sleek sporty look; fun to drive, reasonable price, customer service Cons: Vision obscured rear driver side The Bottom Line: Saturn SC2 is a great looking, fun to drive car, and at a very reasonable cost.
Saturn SC2 has been my vehicle of choice twice now. First of all, let me explain that I am not tech oriented, so if you want a perfunctory, tekkie type review, this will not be the one for you. Secondly, I had a 1999 Saturn SC2 prior to this one, and...

Pros: It looks great, gets great gas mileage and has plenty of leg room. Cons: The rear view mirror is placed REALLY low. The Bottom Line: This is a safe, reliable car that provides a smooth, quiet ride. With 0% financing, why look anywhere else?
We needed a new car. Actually we needed two ~~ a new family car that holds all seven of us and a new smaller car. The reason we keep a smaller car is because we do A LOT of driving and if we were to do it all in the van, we would never be able to pay for...

Pros: Plastic Body
Gas Mileage
Solid suspension
Great interior design Cons: Subpar acceleration (it is a compact car after all)
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a car that will withstand the test of time, and looking for better then average quality.
I have owned a SL2 since 11/01. The incentives on this vehicle after 9/11 were very good, and we got this car for under 1% APR for 60mo. The First thing that is great about this car is that throughout the 60mo. term you can expect no dings and ...

Pros: Pros are that I am finally getting rid of it, and getting a REAL car. Cons: Everything. I regret it every single time I have to get into it. The Bottom Line: I NEVER buy one again, I won't ever buy an american car again, they simply cannot compete with japanese, german, british cars.
I had the misfortune of buying this car after mine died, and I needed a new one ASAP. My mother happened to be dumping it, and like a fool, i bought it off of her. This car sucks. It sucks so bad, that i've thought of taking it to a bad neighborhood in ...

Pros: Reliable, relatively cheap, mostly comfortable. Cons: Small back seat, bumpy ride. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car if you aren't too uppity about your vehicle. It's reliable and not too expensive.
In September of 2001, my husband and I were involved in a bad car accident. Luckily the only thing that died was my beloved Subaru. So, we were thrust into the realm of looking for a new car. We didn’t have too much time, as the insurance company was...

Pros: Great gas mileage for a sedan, plenty of room to maneuver inside! Cons: Can't fit a wheelchair in the trunk unless you put both back seats down. The Bottom Line: You want your best bang for the buck vehicle out there, then this is definitely it!
Introduction
My wife and I were still driving around a totally beat up Datsun 79 280ZX which had well over 100000 miles on it. If I remember correctly it finally croaked out at about 180000. We decided (more like our old car decided) that we...

Pros: awesome gas mileage, spacious Cons: that I probably won't be able to drive this car forever and ever The Bottom Line: I absolutely love this car and would highly recommend any Saturn automobile purchase. Saturn is definitely a different kind of company with an exceptional product!
To begin with, I have a bit of a history with the Saturn corporation. I bought my first Saturn back in 1996 or so (feel free to see my other epinion on that purchase) and ever since I walked into the doors of their facility that day, I have been a loyal...

Pros: Reliable, High Quality, Inexpensive, Safe Cons: Bumpy Ride, 4 cylinder not enough kick The Bottom Line: A great car to have that you can depend on with great quality
What first brought me to purchasing a new Saturn last December was the fact that I had a 1996 SL1 that I gave to my girlfriend, and I wanted one just like it. Saturn has the highest loyalty rate out of any American manufacturer and in the top ten for all...

Pros: Comfortable, spacious, driver friendly Cons: none The Bottom Line: Excellent buying experience, excellent product - why go elsewhere?
Shopping for a new car is something that always fills me with dread. Mental images of the pushy car salesman, the ones that try to tempt you into going over your price limit, that are simply after the sale, and don't care about your actual vehicle...

Pros: Reliable, good gas mileage, dent resistant polymer doors Cons: No adjustable head rest, no way to turn off driving lamps, change oil indicator The Bottom Line: I love my Saturn SL1 and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a solid and dependable car.
History, why I bought my Saturn
I owned a 1995 Saturn SL1 before I bought my 2002 Saturn SL1. I loved my 95 Saturn SL1. It was virtually trouble free, extremely reliable, and one of the best cars that I have ever owned. After 6 years, I...

Pros: Low price and great financing. Lots of options for a low-end car. Cons: A bit noisy. Cheap feel to the interior. The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a dependable car with a good list of options that won't break the bank, this is the car for you.
My wife has a 50-minute commute to work everyday and her Toyota Tercel was on its last legs. It was burning oil to the point that we kept a few quarts in the trunk to be added as needed. It also was a two-door and did not lend itself very well to...

Pros: Good gas mileage, nice looking, polymer body panels, surprisingly punchy engine Cons: Questionable quality on some interior parts, low rearview mirror, legroom The Bottom Line: A good entry level car. Fun to drive, and easy on the gas whether you're on the highway or cruisin' the strip downtown.
The text below the ++++++ line is exactly how I wrote it for the past three updates. I've recently hit 40,000 miles into this vehicle, and have a couple more casual observations as the car has aged. First off, a few more squeaks and creaks have ...

Pros: Great gas mileage, comfortable to drive, lots of safety features. Cons: Paint seems soft. The Bottom Line: This car just feels good. It's comfortable, luxurious, a little sporty, and, most important, safe.
My family is no stranger to Saturns. My parents leased their first in 97, then bought a new 2000 L series when the lease was up. My husband and I bought a 98 SL in June, and my inlaws also have an SL. Before buying my 2002 SL2, I owned a 95 SC2. There...

Three years ago this Memorial Day weekend 2002, I went looking for a new car for my then wife. This was a necessary purchase since the 1989 Pontiac Sunbird we had had a blown engine, and the 1992 Saturn SL1 was on it’s last legs so to speak. We ...

Pros: Looks good, reliable, economic. Cons: Paint sucks, engine lacks pep. The Bottom Line: Good car, reliable and economical, looks good.
Previous to this car, I had a 1993 Eagle Talon. When the timing belt blew and cost me $5000 to replace the blown engine, I decided I would never trust that car again, and wanted something with a warranty. However, I really liked the way the car looked, ...
