Pros: Roomy interior, surefooted handling, firm steering, smooth and comfortable ride.
Cons: Poor reliability, weak acceleration, mushy shifter, some low-quality plastics inside.
The Bottom Line: Such a tough call--a great little car with a dismal repair record. The Focus gets three stars for driving so well, but it's probably best to stick to more-reliable rivals.
