Cons: Gas milage...but I knew that.
The Bottom Line: Go and drive these truck around the dealer lot. Unbelievable!!!

Cons: Drive train and steering clunks and sloppiness
The Bottom Line: I will buy another one in a few years. Every GM vehicle I have owned has been way more reliable than the other brands I have tried.

Best truck I ever owned

Pros: Lots of power, sporty, big engine, great paint.
Cons: none
I purchased a new 2003 GMC sierra regular cab 1500 with the 5.3 and auto trans in Jan of 2004, currently as of Oct 2007 it has 35,000 miles on it and I have not had one problem with the truck. I love it.

Pros: Truck does have a smooth ride and plenty of power (since the transmission is fixed).
Cons: Poor quality. Things break too early in life of truck.
I bought this truck new thinking it would last me a long time. I know this will not be the case. I don't drive it that much (11k miles a year), but have been to the dealer four different times for four different problems. I had a cracked transmission case, a bad steering mid-shaft, bad tail gate cables and a seat belt that wouldn't retract. Everything has been covered by the warranty, but now I am out of warranty. I fear what repairs I have ahead of me.
This is such a shame. I work in the auto industry and would like to buy American, but next next vehicle will be foreign. I can't reward this.

Pros: Quadrasteer, acceleration (1/4mi in 15.8 - faster then hemi HAHA), looks, comfortable seats, great handling
Cons: Fuel mileage, quality of workmanship and parts
Overall, this truck ended all faith i had in my GM company! Coming from a family where u do not buy anything but a GM it was a natural choice to choose this truck. Maybe i have too high of expectations, but i always expected a vehicle i pay $60000 CND for should last a fairly long time. Before 60K i had the truck in maybe 12 times for things like, heated seats stop working, seat belts, tail gate, AC didnt work, cruise quite working, heater blower motor wouldnt shut off (even when truck is turned off), box cover busted 2 times, front diff needed rebuilding, torsion bar bushings needed replacing, should i continue??? Ridiculous is all i can say for 60G!!!
