Pros: UPS and FEDEX can do the job! Cons: Bad bad bad drivers. Customer service, all bubbly and happy. Creepy!

Pros: none I can think of. Cons: Ignores contract rates, loses packages, double bills, turns accounts in good stand over to collection.
DHL will quote you a good rate. Too bad it makes no difference. The first package shipped with them they lost. Then the refund did not cover the cost of replacing it. After shipping with DHL for about a year, they suddenly put the account on ...

Pros: This company is great at facilitating bitter resentment, four-letter expletives, and company induced frustration. Cons: I wouldn't be able to accurately describe my experience even in a doctoral dissertation.

DHL SERVICE appaling

Pros: well dressed execs on trans atlantic flights Cons: poor service, terrible feedback, awful drivers, slow, uncaring. etc etc etc
Recently after meeting with a DHL exec on a trip to NYC I switched our courier service to DHL. Things were ok at best for about a week until a package sent to Vancouver, Canada took 26 days to reach it's destination. We tried to complain but we were told that DHL is suffering growing pains through their acquisitions of Airborne Express and Mayne Logistics in Canada and that we just have to deal with it. 24 years in business I have never dealt with this type customer service or shall I say non-service.
Because of this pitiful response I have launched a website to deal with DHL complaints http://www.dhlcomplaints.com
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Avoid DHL

Pros: None Cons: Overnight delivery took 3 days, no apologies or explanation
My husband ordered flowers for me for Valentine's Day through ftd.com to be sent to me at my office. They were sent from their warehouse in Georgia using DHL Next Day Delivery. According to DHL tracking, the flowers arrived in the DHL West Hartford facility on February 14, 2006 at 7:37AM and were with the delivery courier that same day at 9:53AM. I receive the flowers today, February 16, at 11:45AM. The flowers were 2 days late, wilted, and no explanation was given as to why it took over 48 hours for them to be delivered. I've had other bad experiences with DHL prior to this, but this takes the cake. Do yourself a favor: if you want overnight delivery guaranteed, go to FedEx or the USPS. If you want hassles and heartache, use DHL.

Terrible Service! DHL reported to me that the item would arrive on a certain day. I took the afternoon off from work so package would not set outside. NO PACKAGE. Checked web site, deliver date changed by two days THIS AFTERNOON...called DHL. Package was delivered to POST OFFICE under a new partnership agreement with USPS. Delivery delayed and misrepresented by DHL. BAD, BAD, BAD service. A drunken turtle could move faster!

DHL is the worst delivery company

Pros: Nothing to be pro for Cons: No one should use this company. They do not accept responsibility for their work.
How is it possible to deliver a high Dollar value package to a different town with different name and different ZIP code about 55 miles apart. Oh well, DHL is well capable of doing that.
I check their internet site and see that they have delivered the package at 1:30 PM. I had taken the day off to be home to receive the package, no one shows up!!!
When I call DHL's customer service, they tell me the driver who wrongfully delivered my package to different town has gone home. Tomorrow he will back track the package and bring it to me. I asked, what if the package has been opened up. She says oh well, you have the right not to accept the package. GOOD GOD, what do I suppose to tell this idiot now?

Poor Service

Pros: Easy to contact Cons: poor service
My overnight, prepaid shipping took 2 days to deliver. The telephone operator was very talkative and helpful. However, the computer systems went down at their Houston location and her comment was, "Good Lord, I'd hate to be in Houston," this comment inspiring me with such confidence. No! Thus, I was unable to track my package and find out where it was at. I was told I would receive a phone call when the item was delivered, a phone call I never received. I finally had to call the location of the delivery to see if they had received it, which they had. I would not recommend this service. There is only one place to send DHL in my area and when an overnight is not sent overnight, that is simply bad business.

Incompetent LATE delivery MESS UP inconsistent, AVOID!!!

Avoid DHL.
Their customer service demonstrated its incompetence by telling me to leave a note on my door directing delivery, which the driver ignored.
The pickup location was supposed to be on the tag, and the driver circle it, but the location wasn't filled in.
The main "customer (DIS)service" number was unable to reach the branch office, and promised me a call that never happened.
This is an express shipping service, part of the german poste office, that needs to be avoided!

Pros: None Cons: They cannot provide the service that they advertise.
I shipped my wedding dress via DHL to Hawaii... big mistake. Before I shipped my dress via DHL, I called the company to make sure that 1. they delivered to that location and 2. that they could get my dress there by a certain date -- it HAD to be there by a certain date. "No, problem." was what I was told by the DHL rep.
My dress arrived 3 days after it was supposed to -- too late to be used for what I was sending it for.
DHL single-handedly ruined my wedding.

Pros: Zero Cons: Poor service. Disorganized.
I needed a laptop battery for going out of town on a working vacation. I have never used DHL before so I didn't think it would be a problem to pay extra for the next day delivery. What a mistake! The tracking number in my e-mail said my battery was with the courier all day. Nothing comes. By 8 pm I call and lo and behold, no one knows anything at DHL. I have to leave early the next day so I tell them that now they will need to hold on to it until I got back. They somehow got the notion I was supposed to pick up the battery in some weird location. I had to call them yet again when my vacation was done and tell them they needed to deliver it to my address, they had already screwed up, and I was not going to drive anywhere to pick up anything. So here I am, waiting for the battery to arrive and wondering if it ever will. I will never use DHL again. I have never, ever had this kind of trouble with any other delivery company.
