Pros: Fast service, courteous employees (one of the top 100 companies to work for) Cons: Expensive
I'm a box, and here's my life story through 8,000 miles.
I was born in the Midwest of America, made of recycled paper and under tight standard specifications for 55 lbs. Painted purple and black, I was labeled for FedEx as an International...
Pros: Fast, Tracking System Cons: Double Billing, Automatic Addition of Import Duty
I have been using FedEx for a number of years now to locations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland & Australia. I find the service efficient and to be a cost effective way of sending documents or small packages.
Pros: Most people were professional and very polite Cons: Although polite, they were totally ineffectual in dealing with a very basic problem
I use FedEx quite frequently. However, recently I tried to have an order of Japanese sword supplies sent overnight from Canada. The package was sent via FedEx International Priority on 6/14/2000. The package contained 1 small strip of dried ray skin, a...
Pros: Non Cons: Can't deliver or keep track of packages
I have used Fed Ex twice in the last 6 months for important legal documents. I should have learned my lesson the first time around.
With the first shipment - legal documents - we made sure to let Fed Ex know that a) the package needed to be...
Pros: Online tracking. Cons: Customer Service very unhelpful.
My experience with Fed-Ex started at Mail Boxes Etc. in Colorado. My mother lives in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and will be alone this Christmas. My sister and I decided to surprise her with a box of gifts to cheer her up. She won't be expecting anything...
Pros: Fast (if no problems) Cons: No help from customer service
I am a regular user of FedEx at work and have always been impressed by their service. My opinion on this page has nothing to do with there domestic services which I love.
Recently I sent some computer monitors to Italy. All of the...
Pros: right on time Cons: expensive, but all courier services are!
I was in my home country, Pakistan while my husband was here in the States and I needed some very important documents urgently in order to get my American visa. I asked him to send them via fed ex and he did. They give you a tracking number which you can...
Pros: Fast Pickup. Attractive Rates. Cons: Delayed Service. Lot of Quarantine Problems.
I retail Ayurvedic and Diet Supplements. Respecting Fedex's market share and hearing good things about it in 1999, I decided to enter into a contract where I could use Fedex to fulfill my orders of the herbal supplements. The first 2 (on 1st day) parcels...
Pros: Um... Cons: I haven't got my goods, not likely to any time soon, it seems
Having paid for international priority, partly so I can track my parcel via the webpage, and seeing that it left to be delivered to me at 10.09am, I waited all day for it to arrive. It didn't. At 9pm - yes, 9pm - that evening, the tracking page was updated to say that a delivery exception had occurred at precisely 10am... and that I wasn't available for the parcel. Except I was. And except that happens to be BEFORE it left on the van for delivery. Because it is an OUTRIGHT LIE. The Fedex driver never even attempted delivery. And now, on ringing 'customer services' (thats a joke!), they're so non-plussed about the whole thing I'm just totally dumbstruck. Questions like 'where is it now? (page hasnt been updated since), when will it be delivered, considering I can't be at the address the rest of the week?, why did your driver lie about attempted delivery?' etc, are just met with scripted answers. They don't know, they don't care. They just want me off the phone. An hour after the time for the last promised call back, I'm still waiting for one Lianne Daly to bother to return my call.
I ordered a computer via the internet and was shipped IP. It was shipped 4 days early - From China. Plus 1. It was tracked from the starting location all the way to my door step with accurate detail. Plus 2. A small delay in customs (expected). I missed delivery (expected). I asked them to hold at the local desk (they called and confirmed). 5 days later I picked it up 5 minutes after the doors opened and the computer was in perfect shape after a multi-thousand mile journey. It is amazing how personal people take getting a package delivery - It is just a package and FedEx did a great job delivering mine.
Fedex very unproffessional by sergmats ,Dec 22 '09
