Pros: Light, keyless, easy to use. Cons: Won't prevent theft, easy to break out.
For people who travel with their laptops, the fear that someone will simply walk off with expensive hardware sometimes leads them to leave the hardware at home, or in a "secure" location in which it's nearly impossible to use the hardware.

OK, but seems cheaply made.

Pros: Locking Bracket Included, No Keys!, Cheap, Good Instructions, Compatible with all Lockable laptops Cons: Seems cheaply made, nasty 'clicky' feel, does NOT give me sense of security...
Well, the review above mine really sums it up nicely that this won't protect you 100%. However, based on the product alone, it seems poorly made.
The cable is skinny, but that isn't the weak part. I think the metal locking mechanism is too cheap. The dials give a nasty 'clicky' feel, and the 'teeth' (the little hooks that grab onto your computer from within the security slot) are very small and cause the mechanism too much 'play'.
The product comes with spacers that you adhere to the metal to lessen the space between the lock and the laptop security hole. Without these, the lock has too much wobble. But even with these, the lock does not sit flush to the hole, so leverage is added and allows for easy snapping.
Overall, it's not a bad little investment. I got mine on eBay and saved about 50% (New in Box for $14.99) and for that I price, I recommend it. However, $34.99 and up? I would look for reviews of other brands and see if these problems are corrected before sinking my hard earned cash.
