Pros: Great Interface, no tower to mess with, Installation a breeze Cons: Looks pricier, but not when you consider how it works
Well, we aren't Adam and Eve, but i did have to talk my husband into buying this little gem for me. I had just graduated photography school, and even though i had spent years on PC's prior to working with macintosh OS, I found that it was easier to ...
Pros: Plently processor power, enough HD space and funky looks! Cons: As usual, bad RAM provision from Apple.
This is my second iMac, my first being a Tangerine one with the tray CD-ROM drive. It must be said that everything about this one is superior to my last: Firewire, optical mouse, full-size keyboard, CD-RW, and not forgetting the awwwww-inducing pulsing...
Pros: Amazingly fast, great price, great colour(graphite), amazing sound system Cons: it runs a little hot, but ummmm i can´t find anything else bad about it.
Now i know what you are going to say, why write a review about a computer audio system...... well it´s because i´m an audiophile and i respect harman/kardon greatly, i have a festival 60 and i love it. I bought with it the iSub and i fell in love with...
Pros: a compact machine which is good for a small desk Cons: CRT lacks the clarity of a higher level Sony Trinitron
In the late 1990s two things saved Apple, 150 million from Bill Gate$, and the iMac. The latest incarnation of the iMac is definitely a professional level machine and has been since in reached 500 MHz in speed and came with 128 MB of RAM standard. The...
Pros: Ease of use, OS X Ready, simply a nice computing experience. Cons: Upgrade limitations, awful speakers, screen size
The iMac has become something of a revolutionary in terms of personal computing. There's no doubt that it has done a lot to reverse Apple's flagging fortunes and has brought the once ailing company back to relative health in a time when many companies...
Pros: Fast, much easier to use in comparison to windows, design and style Cons: sometimes crashes but then again what computer doesn't ....minor con
The iMac CD-RW Special Edition was released only about a month or so ago. This was my family's first computer. Being the tech-head of the family...I did alot of research into macs and other PC's. I wanted something different than the same old...
Pros: Fast, small, quiet, 30 gig hard drive Cons: small screen, no slots for expansion, no cdrw drive
I bought the Imac DV Special Edition in June 2000. So far it has done everything expected and more. I also work on G3 Tower systems and the imac is basically the same machine without the expansion bays and only a 15 inch monitor.
Pros: Fast processor, lots of RAM, big hard drive, reasonable price Cons: New imac coming out, too cute
About a month ago I finally did away with my old 94mhz power mac (it was about six years old), and got an imac DV SE (Special Edition.) I am pleased with the imac overall, but I have had a few problems.
Pros: Many more features like than origional imac. Cons: Still very slow and not a lot of memory.
I would personally not recomend this computer to anyone that wants a fast computer. This computer comes with some nice features like a dvd-rom and apple works 6 but the memory is too strong. Computer has a tendency to freeze in situation and things...
Pros: Legendary Apple design and ease-of-use, it has enough power for all but the most demanding. Cons: Some models (Summer 2000) are noisy, infamous mouse design, no quick external storage.
What kind of computer user are you? Aspiring movie director? Internet junkie? Down and dirty, get work done business person? Game player? The iMac DV/SE can satisfy all these types of people and more, and do it with flair.
Pros: Quality of hardware. Ease of use. Compatibility. Capability. Bright future with OS X. Cons: Not easily upgradable, if at all. Backwards compatibility with legacy hardware.
For the money, this is a very solid, and very capable computer. It is not however, very upgradeable. Therefore, I would not recommend it for the power computer-user...If you want upgradeability, get the G4! It has infinite peripheral expansion, but...
Pros: movable, great software, user-friendly Cons: none for me
In a feild like mine (web design) you need a Mac. I looked at every one they make. But on my budget I had to settle for an Imac. I wanted the G4, I didn't want one of those little Imac's. They have to be worthless, I thought.
I've been using an iMac DV SE for 3 months now and have easily made several enjoyable videos. Easy to set up and use. I connected with ethernet to my cable modem right out of the box, and I also connected without incident to my Sony DV cam with Firewire....
