Pros: feels good in the right hand, excellent accuracy, never needs cleaning Cons: awkward for use in the left hand, you probably won't use the internet buttons
PROBLEMS
The primary problem with this mouse is that the ergonomics are somewhat awkward if you like using your left hand.
Another problem is the extra internet buttons that you can use to move forward and backward when...

Pros: Great feel, great performance Cons: Very expensive, doesn't like glass-top tables. Buttons feel flimsy.
My mouse lost its masculinity! No more balls, just a bright red light that looks really neat. (I can only imagine what the Cordless Intellimouse Explorer must feel like...no tail, no balls...)
I love this mouse. Its been nothing but a joy...

Pros: good anywhere, doesn't gather dust or have moving parts to jam, doesn't have a ball to become irregular. Cons: no obvious bad stuff
WOW, WOW, and more WOW. The People over at MicroSoft really out did themselves this time; The Explorer mouse is a stroke of true genius. Ok now that i am done praising the mouse its time to tell you why it deserves so much praise. The explorer...

Pros: Easy to use right out of the box, superb compatibility Cons: None
I am a trackball person. Or at least that's what I used to tell people before I got my hand on the Microsoft IntelliMouse Pro. This baby is smooth to use, responsive, and comfortable.
I often surf the web and respond to surveys and...

Pros: Easy to use, Allows for nice browsing, Quick scrolling Cons: None
I have to say that I like Microsoft's IntelliMouse more than any other mouse that I've used. It is the same as all other mice except for the wheel in the middle. It is this wheel that enables you to browse pages faster and move around with greater...

Pros: No mouse ball, cool look, no cleaning, multiple buttons Cons: Expensive for a mouse, hard to get used to
I play a lot of video games and a good mouse is important to me. This mouse never needs cleaning as it doesn’t have a ball. It is very smooth and accurate. It has a neat read glow and is pretty big. I like the heavy feel of a big mouse, somebody with...

Pros: Programmable buttons Cons: Price and that dumb red glow.
I guess I am an admitted gadget freak so when I saw the Explorer I had to have one. If you were ever trying to finish up a job and a fleck of dirt on the mouse ball or worse yet on one of the contact wheels made the job a real pain, never having to go...

Pros: Looks cook, feels good Cons: Big for smaller hands
When I first heard of MS coming out with an optical mouse, I was truly geeked. I had always been captivated by the optical mice used on Sun systems and wanted to get something like that for my PC. Thus, the Intellimouse Explorer.
I...

Pros: Shape, Smooth Scrolling, 2 Additional Buttons, Red Glow, Optical Sensor --> Amazing Performance Cons: Price
When this first came out I knew I would have to get it. Finally I did, and I am very satisfied. The mouse has no ball. Instead it uses an optical sensor which detects motion as you move the mouse. It works amazingly well, much better than any ordinary...

Pros: sleek design, 5 buttons Cons: expensive
This is the smoothest mouse I have ever used, and I can't live without it now. I use a lot of computers besides my home one, and now every other mouse I use gets me a little annoyed :) The wheel scrolls so much more smoothly than any other I've tried,...

Pros: I've tried 'em all...and this is THE best yet Cons: PPPllleeeaaassseee make a wireless version!
To begin with, you should know that I have used EVERY mouse under God's heaven, and I have been on a tireless search for a good one. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and need and want the BEST. I've tried large ball multi-button mice - no good;...

Pros: great for web related work, works great with Microsoft products, easy to use, well formed (ergonomic), and well made. Cons: not compatible with all applications, some features are not that useful (to me)
When I first heard about the Intellimouse, I didn't think it was such a big deal. My initial reaction was mild. The only thing Microsoft added was a wheel, what was the big deal?
I had several reservations. The mouse is curved a bit, and that...

Pros: No Ball, Very Precise, Comfy Cons: Expensive
The Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer is the best mouse ever invented. Unfortunately, it comes to us with a very high price tag.
This mouse is a great tool for gamers. It's lack of a ball means that it never gets stuck and never needs to be...

Pros: great placement of buttons, great accuracy, easy to use Cons: hard to get used to, gets dirty quickly, you don't want to use anything else after you start!
This mouse is great... that is, once you get used to it.
Overall, I think that track balls are a lot more accurate than a mouse that moves alone a tabletop. This is due to the fact that you don't run off of the mouse pad, and you don't ever have to...

Pros: Silky smooth movement Cons: button movement is a bit light
The IntelliMouse Explorer is one of the best input devices I have used. As long as you do not put it on a surface that is feature free or has a small repetitive pattern, this mouse performs excellently. Its shape fits a number of different sized hands...
