Pros: ease of use, pre-installed programs Cons: non-that i can think of
The Palm IIIc is as GREAT as apple pie! It has MANY great programs already installed including MS Outlook Links, Core Organizing Applications, and AvantGo. The Rechargeable Lithium Ion battery is definitely a plus! But I believe that the best...

Pros: light weight Cons: very possible to lose stylus
I highly recommend the Palm III organizer made my 3Com. The great advantage for me is that I can download it to my Power Mac and also to the Laptop that has Windows OS. The cost was not much more than a digital Roledex, but it has so many more uses....

Pros: Excellent replacement for a daytimer Cons: If you don't back it up, you risk losing everything
With all the Palm models that 3com has to offer, how do you determine which one to buy?
Deciding which Palm to buy shouldn’t take a lot of worry. There are distinct differences between each Palm model, and this review will help you in your...

Pros: easy to use, increases your productivity, good documentation, excellent web sites and user community, pretty good for text reading, plenty of freeware and shareware Cons: just a tad too heavy, screen can be annoying and reflective, not good for text input
Let me walk you through my experiences with the Palm III. I'll describe the supporting documentation and I'll talk about the usability of the device itself.
Documentation:
First, the device comes with a great Getting...

Pros: Color keeps things interesting Cons: screen quality and unsure about the battery
This is my 3rd, count 'em 3rd Palm Pilot. Had one of the originals and then a IIIx past them down. Both the priors are still working just fine by the way.
The screen resolution is disappointing with the IIIc, in my opinion. But it might be...

Pros: Fast, colored, lot's of memory, chic Cons: Not all things are color, stylus is annoying!
Palm IIIc
By Stephen Smith
The Palm IIIc is Palm’s first color Palm Pilot based on the second of the models, the Palm III. The difference is that it is in color. Aside from the color, this Palm is still pretty great. It’s pretty fast,...

Pros: It will organize your life Cons: Guilt from being organized and STILL being unproductive
I lead a pretty busy life. I have two jobs, three children and two wives. (Alright . . . alright! even though I DO live in Utah, one is actually an ex-wife. But in my defense she really does keep me pretty busy) The point is that organization to me...

Pros: handy, portable, works great, many useful features Cons: takes getting used to, not user friendly at first
I got my Palm III about a month ago and already I can't imagine how I ever got along without it! I use it for everything including downloading and reading my email, keeping track of my address book, for the calculator, games, To-Do lists, and for taking...

Pros: Same benefits as any PalmOS machine, good if you need color coding. Cons: Was overpriced, now just outdated. Heavier and larger than other Palmtops.
Overview
I bought my Palm IIIc in the summer of 2000 as a replacement for my Texas Instruments Avigo, a PDA which was fairly well-designed, but TI abandoned its support for it. I decided that I needed and wanted the ability to color code my...

Pros: Easy to use Cons: A bit too bulky
The PALM III palmtop computer is a great little item. Without even needing the instruction manual, i was able to easily master all it's basic functions due to the easy lay out and simplicity in it's design. With 10 basic functions (Address/phone...

Pros: Capabilities that are more like a PC or Mac than a pocket organizer... Cons: It seems as if they are offering new model every few months. That's frustrating because you start reading about a new Palm Pilot model with new features the day after you bought yours.
Those of you who are interested in one of the new Palm Pilots have a lot to look forward to. I know, because I'm still amazed at some of the things my 2 year old Palm III is doing. It sure is a big jump ahead from what I used to use. Part of the real...

Pros: Rechargeable battery, PalmOS 3.5 Cons: only 256 colors, blocky display, slightly larger than other III series
When I first heard Palm would be releasing a color PDA, I was excited - finally some nice colors without having to switch platforms to a CE device. I have been using Palm products since the PalmPilot Professional and have loved everything except the...

Pros: None Cons: they suck
The Palm III which I found to be totally easy to operate in the areas of add on software. While 3 Com does offer some exciting after market software these are in my opinion mostly game and spreadsheets. No database software could be found to link up...

Pros: Portability, handwriting to CPU, easy docking Cons: Battery drain with aggressive use
I recently received a Palm III as a gift and was skeptical about using it for taking notes and transcribing them into word processable format... boy was I pleasantly surprised with this dynamo of a handheld computer.
In a few short days, I...

Pros: Simple, great battery live Cons: Limited capability, very proprietary
For years I wandered the streets of salesmanship with pens and paper. In the early 90's when I discovered I could be compatible with a computer I soon discovered what computing power could do for me. Nice...until I left the house. Back to pencil and...
