Pros: quality color photos, fast, quiet Cons: not cheap, photo paper expensive
We have had an old Hewlett Packard printer since we bought
our first computer many years ago. The printer was sufficient
but did not have the features that we grew to need, such as
photo printing, quality color printing, ability to...
Pros: A lot of features. Quality printing. Cons: None,so far
This is my second printer. My first one was a refurbished BJC Canon 240 Color Bubble Jet Printer and was slow. It still is in good working order. I bought it with my first computer,a refurbished Old IBM 486.
Pros: Great output even on plain paper Cons: Problems with single envelope feed
I bought the HP 952 printer because I had read favorable reviews in several computer magazines. After much research I narrowed my choices to the 952 and its less expensive cousin, the 932. The output on the 952 is excellent, even on plain paper....
Pros: Excellent photo quality Cons: buggy, feeding problems, and many more.
I've had my HP DeskJet 952C for several months now. When I went to buy it the information I had gotten from the internet, as well as from the salesperson I spoke to, told me that the 952 was the same exact printer as the 970, with the exception that the...
I have been a fan of HP printers for some time. My first color printer for personal use was an HP DeskJet 540C - it had the capacity for only one ink cartridge at a time - it was necessary to switch the cartridge to print in color. I bought mine when...
Pros: Reasonable cost, Fast, great quality, cancel button. Cons: Pricey color cartridge, sometimes too much printer for average user (check 932C also).
Looking for a great printer that won't rob you blind? I purchased the 952C about 6 months ago, and would highly recommend this to just about anyone. I know that my opinion of HP's is a bit biased because for years that's the only ink jet printer I would...
Pros: Astounding Photo-quality prints, fast, quiet, sleek, economic (ink), versatile Cons: People (not me) report paper misfeeds.
I am an architecture student, and I often have to print out very intense graphic-laden sheets. I bought the 952c because I, like everyone, read very good reviews about it. I was actually in the market for a larger format capable printer, but the $300...
Pros: Ease of set-up, quality of photos Cons: none
Well, I was in the market for a printer that could handle photos. Wait a minute; my SPOUSE wanted me in the market for a printer that could handle photos!
I'd been happily using a Cannon BJC2100 for my printing jobs, until that fateful day...
Pros: ease of use and setup, high-quality output, fairly high ppm Cons: 1st one broke
As a graphic designer, I was used to working with professional printers, and receiving materials printed on both offset printers and spit out of large copy-laser-printer combos like the Xerox Doc40. Then we ran into a problem with a specific project...
Pros: Excellent print quality, fast, good included software, quiet, inexpensive to operate. Cons: Possibly not quite as good at photo printing as the six-color photo printers.
Over the last week, I looked around at the various options under $250 for photo-quality printing. Having a 2.1 megapixel camera and knowing such high resolutions are fairly useless without the ability to realize them through print, I thought it was...
Pros: Very sharp and colorful prints. Easy to use. Quiet. Fast. Price Drop of $100. Cons: Color not as good with cheap paper. Inconsistent handling of odd-sized paper.

This is the final review in my trilogy of Printer Reviews (HP LaserJet 3150i and the Lexmark Z12 being the other two). While the Lexmark was a temporary printer, I purchased the HP 952c as my main color printer of choice. For the...
Pros: Excellent color mode. Cons: Buggy Macintosh software, paper feed is not straight.
I bought this printer because I gave my HP 895Cse to my sister. Being that this was an "upgrade" and two years newer, my expectations were pretty high. Especially after the outstanding performance of my first HP printer!
Pros: Fast, quiet and good photo quality Cons: Cost of ink cartridges
I had a HP DeskJet 870Cse printer and liked it very much. I never had a problem with it during the three years I used it. So when I decided to get new faster and better printer, I decided to stay with Hewlett Packard. I went to HP's home page and looked...
Pros: Speed / Incredible photo reproduction Cons: Ink use
I picked this printer up at Office Max for $250 with some sort of mail-in rebate deal. This printer was to replace our older HP 693c model which had given out. This price range is typical of the higher-end inkjet market, but not as high as...
Pros: Great graphics Cons: Expensive ink; comparatively expensive
We recently had a baby, and were looking for a good color inkjet so we could print out banners, announcements, pictures, and all the other stuff you want to do when you want to show and tell the world about your cute baby.
Pros: Size, speed, quality, looks, features, connection types (USB, Parallel) Cons: none, so far
So far, I have not had any problems with it. I tested the printer thoroughly last night as I wanted to be sure I made the right decision in purchasing it. After all my testing, I came to the conclusion that I was very, VERY, pleased with my purchase (I...
Pros: Superb images of all types. Cartridges are a good value.
Cons: A bit hard to load more than a dozen sheets of paper.
I have been using this HP 952c since October, 2000 and couldn't be more pleased. I first tested the printer using the photographic paper (supplied with the printer), and my wife and two sons wouldn't believe that they came off the printer. They looked...
Pros: excellent print quality Cons: unsalvageable and wasteful paper feed malfunction and useless HP support
The print quality on all kinds of tasks is very good, but after about 1 year of owning this product, the paper feed started to malfunction. Sometimes it grabbed a bunch of paper at once, but as if that weren't enough, it grabs them not in a unified stack ...
Pros: Good value for cost Cons: weird sounds when printing
Recently I acquired a HP952C printer to replace a HP 632C printer. The acquisition was inspired by the 632 which began printing in fascinating waves across every page. The text just waved and waved until I waved goodbye. Anyway, except for the...
Pros: Quality of text, Size Cons: Envelope feeding, Speed
I have been using this printer for some time and have had various feelings. The printer is used in my office and has held up despite the hard times of operation.
First, the printer installed very easily. The documentation was very good. The...
Pros: Great photo quality, average text quality. Cons: Slightly slow on high quality pictures.
When we came upon this printer at Officemax, I didn't think it would be that great. We purchased it against my recommendation, but after a while, I began to like it.
Here are the two main aspects of the printer -Text- The text...
This product was purchased at my work. I being the primary user of this printer. We were using another HP Printer and wanted to upgrade, to get the HP quality but more speed we stayed with HP.
Pros: Super quality print of photos and text! Cons: Expensive ink and may not be as fast as the more expensive hp printers
I am so delighted to share with you out there how wonderful a printer this is. I had an old epson printer that I bought in '95 that was okay, but does not even compare to this new hp 952C printer. The problem with my old printer was that printing color...
Pros: Great print outs, Exceptionaly quiet Cons: HP software conflicts with some systems, HP support poor
While I've only had this printer for a week. I am sure it will be a keeper. It performs very well. I bought the printer because I needed a good photo type printer, and Consumer Reports rated it higher than Lexmark ( brand I'm replacing and ink faded...
Pros: Fast, Quiet, reliable, awesome print quality, Print head on cartridge. Cons: None so far.
I used to be an advocate of Epson printers. I purchased one and recommended them to others a couple of years ago and since then, all of them have died. I decided to switch to HP for a change.
This was the best move I could have made. HP's in...
Pros: Easy to use, dependable, good quality. Cons: No cables, economy cartridges

I have owned a total of three HP ink jet printers and this one is by far the best. It is extremely quiet and the print quality is far better than any other printer I researched prior to buying another HP. It has a fair amount of paper holding capacity...
Pros: Easy, have never had any problems with it. Cons: sometimes it is slow
This printer is very well built and is problem free. I have never had a problem with it. I like the way it works. I has never jammed or stuck. It has always preformed well. This printer is worth it's price. My only beef with it is that sometimes it...
Pros: Very Quiet. Front paper load Cons: 4 X 6 Photo paper slot will not feed.
I bought this printer as a last years model, so I got a better price on it. It wasn't XP compatible out of the box, but HP's website provided me with the proper drivers. It was somewhat difficult to get set up with my XP, but I have it working well...

4 years and still going by maxmillion45 ,Jun 27 '05
Pros: Still working great! Cons: picture printing could be faster
I purchased this printer in Jan of 2001 at Office Depot. I is still running as well as it did when i got it and is on its second computer. The paper tray and feed works well, I only have a jam about once every 1000 pages. Picture print out well, and so do envelopes. I can say it has been a very good deal for the money. No smearing or off color printing.
DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE!!! by treap ,Mar 24 '04
Pros: None Cons: Ink Smears, paper feeds incorrectly, prints black letters in blue/purple hue, prints color incorrectly.
I bought this unit because of many reviews I read. I unpacked the printer and plugged it in. It worked fine for a week and then the problems started. I was going to use this printer for business invoices, but it prints black ink and logo's in a purple/blue hue. It makes the document look completely unprofessional. It also prints every document crooked, again very unprofessional. Don't even think you will print envelopes with this printer, it smears the ink beyond recognition. I refuse to use the substandard printer because it will hurt my business reputation.
I can't use this piece of garbage for my business because it butchers anything you try to print. I called HP support and they were of no help and would not consider replacing it with another product. I refuse to use it at home because of the same quality issues. I cannot believe HP allowed this piece of junk to be sold to the public. They have lost my business forever!
I had to replace it and write it off as a loss on my taxes.
