Pros: 4 Megapixel, Super Zoom, Cheap, Great Feature Set Cons: None Noted
OVERVIEW
The folks at Olympus have often been innovators in both the 35mm camera and digital imaging worlds. Their half frame Pen F cameras from the early sixties offered photographers the option of 72 images on a standard (36 exp)...
Pros: Price, pro-level features, rugged construction Cons: optional accessories are limited, weak, and very expensive..some features are hard to use
I have owned an E-10 for over two years now and it has only been in the past month or so that I felt I had anything unique enough to say about my E-10 to warrant a review. I could give you a history lesson about the importance of the E-10 in relation to...
Pros: Solid build, excellent ergonomics, high pixel count, solid state CFII support, many available accessories, live image preview Cons: IBM Microdrive NOT recommended; somewhat dim viewfinder, 1 AF sensor, vertical grip could be better; more shadow noise than some other top-notch digicams
Releasing Camedia E-10, Olympus have once again upped the ante on what consumers could get, and soon would demand, from a high quality SLR digicam in the sub-$2K price range.
Pros: Great Feel. You actually forget you are using a digital camera
Terrific pictures Cons: Program mode is not shiftable.
I have owned several Digital cameras, Nikon 990, Olympus 2500 & 3000, Fuji
4900z, + a few others.
I really do like the ability to use a digital darkroom and wanted to be able
to give up film entirely.
None of these cameras would allow...
Pros: Picture quality, ergonomics, construction, controls, two media formats Cons: Slow preview mode and start-up, substantial price
The E-10 is my third digital camera and far and away the best. OK, the others--both Kodaks--were not nearly as pricey, but the E-10 is not only superior in every way, it is, dollar-for-dollar, the clear bargain leader.
Pros: Very solid camera. Seems to be quite trustworthy. Outstanding CCD and optics. Cons: Hot pixel problem. Wandering auto-focus.
It took me a year to finally decided to take the plunge on the Olympus E-10. I read everything I could locate to be as well informed as possible when it came time to buy.
First, let me say that I chose to buy from a camera shop. I know that I...
Pros: Wonderful Pictures: Fairly easy to use. Cons: Auto Focus can sometime be off, if not a well lit subject.
I've had the Olympus E-10 for 9 months now. I upgraded from an Olympus 340R, which was also wonderful..I waited to do a review till I was very certain of how well I liked this camera. All I can say is its wonderful!
Pros: 4.0 MegaPixels, 4x Zoom, Capability for SmartMedia & Compact Flash. Cons: Doesnt come with rechargables.
Hello Everyone,
I am the proud owner of the Olympus E-10 and personally am not looking to sell this one anytime soon. This is my 5th Digital Camera and the Olympus E-10 replaced my pervious camera "Canon G1" and I never looked back. The...
Pros: A lot to like in every respect...state of the art. Cons: Fixed Zoom lens of questionable quality and sharpness
I'm a 30 year professional and a General member of ASMP. I specialize in Architecture and Interiors. I bought a new E-10 as an entry for our studio into the digital realm as far as shooting goes. I was very attracted to the 4MP usable resolution and the...
Pros: quality of build, solid, weighty, positive action of controls Cons: short grip necessitates optional battery pack and extended grip for big hands. Exposed LCD.
We can all dream about the Nikon D1x,the Canon D series cameras, but come on now. If you are a professional Sports, or roving journalist, than the above models most certainly are the way to go. For the rest of us who want that SLR feel and performance,...
Pros: 4-megapixel matrix, looks solid, convenient modification of focal length, universality, much features Cons:
IBM Microdrive not supported, some stripes on LCD screen
This is the newest camera in many respects. At first, it has 4-megapixel matrix, and secondly, it is first specially developed, as the digital mirror camera, with a possibility of a manual focussing on a dim screen. The camera looks very solidly, both on...
Pros: It's resolution!!! Wow: 2240 x 1680.n Also the ability to copy images from one card to another while still in the camera. Cons: The price: 1,999, also the amount of photos it can hold (see below for details)
It's a reasonable size at about 7 W x 5 H x 4.1 D. It's lens is from 9mm to 36mm (equivilant to 35mm to 140mm on a 35mm camera). It has a manual zoom, nice for the professional photographer, and it has a few nice flash options. The flash options...
As an advanced amateur, I found this camera equivalent to a 35mm. A unique feature is the flexibility of being able to use both a smart media & Compact Flash card. The flash arrangement is also excellent & there is a provision for additional...
The Olympus Camedia E-10 is a near perfect Digital Camera. Boasting a stunning 4.0 megapixel CCD this camera can take pictures with more detail than many people would ever notice.
Detail was one of the first items I noticed about the pictures...
Pros: real SLR optics and feel, great picture quality, very film-like. Cons: not easy to create depth of field effects with E10. Limited zoom. slow menus.
First off, I don't consider the E10 to be a professional camera. Due to the CCD being smaller than regular film, you can't get the depth of field control that you can get with a regular film camera, and that limits your portrait creativity.
4 megapixel CCD creates 2,240 x 1,680 images for 8 x 10 prints and beyond 4x optical zoom with autofocus Included 32 MB SmartMedia card stores 16 imag...More at Amazon Marketplace
