Worth every penny and then some
by whuffo ,Oct 14 '05
Pros: Great sound - probably the best reproduction you'll ever hear. Cons: Expensive
I never thought I'd spend so much money for a little pair of earphones. I waffled over the decision for weeks before buying these - and have been glad I did every day since then. These little things sound amazing - full, well balanced sound. It's hard to adequately describe how nice they sound...
I find them very comfortable even when I wear them for hours at a time. Some folks complain that you can hear things brushing against the cord; this is true, but it's a minor issue. Use the clip and pocket the excess cord and it won't be a problem for you. A flimsier cord would reduce this small problem but it'd also lead to cord problems; the cable that these come with is sturdy long-lasting stuff.
Only "problem" is also a benefit - these are essentially ear plugs and you won't hear the world around you while you're enjoying your music. These earphones aren't a good choice for situations where not hearing an onrushing bus would be dangerous...

Not worth the price
by dwightturner ,Nov 11 '04
Pros: Great for classical music Cons: Very uncomfortable - Noisy cord - Very poor bass
I paid a high price for these headphones and they turned out to be very uncomfortable and low on the bass end. The highs are excellent so if you only listen to classical, you could be quite happy with the sound, but if you call for bass you should forget these headphones. Also don't plan on moving while you wear them and any movement of the cord sends the noise straight to your ears.

WOW! Superb earphones, worth the price...
by trairden ,Mar 16 '04
Pros: Sound quality
Lightness
Compactness
2-year warranty (with registration... 1-year without...)
Great support from the company Cons: Airline 2-prong adapter ($4-$12 aftermarket) not included.
I've got two sets of Sony noise-canceling headphones (one set in-ear and one over) and some pretty decent "living room" earphones, and these put them all to shame. The detail and fidelity are by far the best I've heard. Total in-use package including pouch is less than an ounce, which makes them really ideal for travel.
I paid $233 for mine, and have subsequently found them on eBay for $200 (Buy it now) shipped ground.

Fantastic Headphone
by yidaki99 ,Oct 14 '04
Pros: Sound quality second to none. Cons: Small amount of cord noise.
I worked for Sony for five years and have yet to hear a headphone like this! They are worth every dime. I have used them on several sources and have found a new best friend for my MD player and my I Pod. I find nothing wrong with the cord. Some people complain of noise from the cord.A small price to pay for the sound quality these headphones provide. They also have incredible noise canceling ability, the best I've heard. I own several pairs of high end headphones and these are by far the most accurate in my collection.
