Pros: They sound stellar for $55 headphones! Cons: They don't sound like $200 headphones.
With these headphones, you get defined, assertive bass. The mid-range and treble are detailed. Overall, I find these Denons produce music that sounds authentic. Is this damning with faint praise? Not at all. I just like my headphones to reproduce sound...

Pros: Comfortable long-wearing, sounds great, solid bass, great price Cons: Bass can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, but manageble
I am a musician, and i have a love-hate relationship with headphones. For some reason, my ears are sensitive to having something over them for any length of time, and they get sore quickly. This is a problem that I've never had with these Denons, and it is something that I appreciate every day I use them. Their circumference is big, and fits totally around my ears (I can't stand the headphones where the ring sits on your ear), plus they're fairly thin for good-quality headphones, which makes them easier to wear.
As for the sound, I was absolutely blown away by the bass response. Listening to Public Enemy's Apocalypse '91 or Tribe Called Quest's Buggin Out on The Low End Theory, the bass is big, solid, and tight. The highs and mids are bright without being tinny. As another reviewer has said, the bass can sometimes be a bit too much, but it is easily overcome with eq adjustment.
Oh, and did i mention that they're really comfortable? :)
You won't be disappointed with these headphones.
