Oh do I have some words for these Headphones
by djmic ,Nov 04 '04
Pros: Last you some months and they sound really good. Cons: Construction is cheap (joints will break and ear pads will tear)forget crazy glue.
I admit that I was sold by the look and the color match to the Technic 1200's. I went through 3 pairs and just finally gave up on them. I take care of my equipment very well. 15 year veteran DJ. djmixmstr@aol.com

Good sound, poor construction
by javaguy ,Jan 20 '04
Pros: Great sound Cons: Poor construction
This is a very quick review. They sound great, but the construction quality is a let down. Eventually most pairs of these develop cracks in the swivelling part of the headphone, then the earpiece falls off. I recommend going for the Sony MDR-V900s or an alternate pair because of this.

Great, if you're a Dj.
by donradeon ,Oct 27 '04
Pros: Insane power handling, over-ear design, carry case, looks, performance, functionality, professional headphones. Cons: Weight, cord length, bass can be overpowering, price, can draw funny looks.
I stress the words Dj because if you attempt to a.) produce music or b.) enjoy music for hours on end, these phones will not be satisfactory. They excel for Dj use because they have increased emphasis on bass, which is what Dj's need to match beat tempo, etc. Yet, if you attempt to produce music it will come out muddy and sound off or distorted through regular speakers. Also, they are quite heavy so your ears will get numb after a few hours of listening to music.
Yet, these are awesome headphones for simply enjoying music.. very loudly I might add.
The ear cups swivel all around, though it's fairly pointless.. it sure looks cool.
I still recommend these headphones, despite all the cons. They are awesome and they don't wear out, despite what the other people may have said, mine have lasted almost a year now with no cracks or anything.
The over-ear design, I might add, helps when you listen at night or in public when you may not want other people hearing your music.
