Teac W-518R Single Cassette Deck

The TEAC W-518R dual cassette deck is an excellent piece of equipment at a budget price. I bought mine 18 months ago for $99.95 at our local REX Electronic Shop. I have used it continually since that time. I dub tapes and make direct audio recordings...

Pros: Great sound and an excellent value.
Cons: I have no record on its durability; the "power on" light oddly placed.

I find this tape deck to be a great product for a very reasonable price. The sound quality is first rate, the controls are easy to use, and it has an attractive appearance. Having had a bad experience with an economy Sony tape deck, I was somewhat reluctant to try a parsimonious route once again, but this time I have not been disappointed. The unit actually seems to have been made in Japan. And the price from BUY ELECTRO was rock bottom, plus the company offered a three-year ad on warranty for only $20.
