Pros: compact, 115mm of zoom Cons: battery casing may be difficult to open at times
This camera is affordable, weather resistant, comes with 115mm of zoom, and good looking. Everything you could ask for. It has auto focus and many different modes. I take this little thing everywhere. The size is convenient. Not too small that you'll be...

Pros: Small and easy to use Cons: Clip that holds it closed broke
I have had this camera for about seven years now and have absolutely loved it. I bought it because I like Olympus and because it is so small. I take my camera everywhere and needed something I could stick in my pocket. I have taken it skiing, out on...

Pros: EVERYTHING IS GREAT Cons: NOTHING IS BAD
I've had Olympus now for 2 years or so and I have to say that
I LOVE IT EVEN MORE....
I've owned many cameras in the past and I can tell one thing:
the pictures come out much crispier, brighter, nicer than any
other camera of...

Pros: Small and light. Satisfactory pictures. Easy to use. Zoom. Cons: Poor quality construction. Short lifetime.
The camera died after about 14 months (just after the warranty ran out!) and it would cost $125 to repair it. Since I paid $189 for the camera, I will buy a new one before I will pay $125 to repair this one. This camera was too costly to last such a...

The Olympus Stylus Zoom 115 QD 35mm Point & shoot/ Zoom camera is a very good camera. It is perfect if yourlooking for a camera that has quality. The best part about it is the zoom. It can go from 35mm to 115mm, which is pretty far. The price is very...

Pros: light, small, easy-to-use Cons: poor quality of pictures, bad maintenance record
I owned an Olympus SLR for decades and finally decided I wanted a lightweight point-and-shoot for less-dedicated photographic opportunities. Well, it's light. And it fits in my pocket. But for me it's been mechanically and electronically inconsistent,...

Pros: Great pics, reliable, good battery life Cons: Awkward shutter release logistic, window to film compartment fell out of the camera back
I've taken my little mju (what this model is called in Australia) everywhere since i bought it. It fits neatly in my jeans pocket, and doesn't seem to object to the environment. The sliding cover is robust and functional. (unlike many other of its class)...

Good while it lasts
by ruggedtoast ,Aug 09 '04
Pros: A good point and shoot with rugged build - pictures are good. Cons: That door may well break, a repair will be costly.
I took this camera travelling with me and it withstood a year of hard punishment bouncing around in a backpack - being dropped on floors of cheap hotels - roasted in sunlight and hot taxis for over a year.
I probably took literally thousands of photos.
Generally the picture quality was very nice. Shots were well exposed. Red eye was not a significant problem and there was no noticeable vignetting in any of my photos.
I might say that a slightly higher than average number of shots were out of focus with this machine maybe, 1 to 3 per film on average.
Then two years after I bought it something dropped out of the clam shell and it stopped locking in place when open and closed. Then eventually the switch stopped working altogether. It was dead.
I knew about this problem when I bought it and it lasted for about as long as I expected though it still irked a bit when it broke as it was only this flimsy looking switch thing that was the problem.
