All I need - in a small box

by theuerkorn theuerkorn is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Electronics, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Jul 09 '01
Pros: solid performance, compact size, skip resistant, low cost
Cons: flimsy disc magazine
There is usually not much to say about a changer. It usually does it's job or doesn't. I am not that audiophile - to be honest - to differentiate between sampling technologies (1-Bit DA etc.). However, if I pay attention I believe to hear a difference...

I Love my changer Pioneer CDX-P650

by mfalls5511 , Jan 06 '01
Pros: hardly ever skips
Cons: i wish i would have gotten the 12 disc model
I have been wanting a CD Changer for a very long time. I had a CDX 5100 Sony CD player, but it did not have CD Changer controls which doesn't seem like a big deal to most. If you buy a CD Changer that is RF Modulated or plays through your cars...

I thought 6 discs would be enough

by catdad-e , Feb 15 '01
Pros: Easy to install, Never skips, sounds sweet on factory speakers
Cons: display screen wont stay put! 12 discs are better that 6
I'm no expert on CD changers, but I'll fill you in on my complaints first, since I really do love my changer;
-The Display/controller is easy to use for changing discs or tracks, but if you want to repeat a song, or shuffle, or change the tuner...

Pioneer is the Best

by cyb7207 , Jan 18 '00
Pros: Low price, Will not skip
Cons: Only holds 6 discs
I have been into car stereo systems for awhile now. (2-3 Years). I have invested money into a nice deck and nice speakers but I was holding off to get a cd changer (main reason was they were just to expensive). But about a month ago that wait ended. I...

Could It Be Any Better

by jSlade , Dec 13 '99
Pros: Really good suspension, sound quality, price
Cons: Ugly, only hold 6 disks
I got one of these with the deh-3600 head unit. These things were built to last and provide a great sound. I put them in my 77 Dodge 3/4 ton truck and hit the trails. Not once did it skip. I caught air off one bump and the land was so hard it killed...

Great Changer for the $$$

by jkleinman , Aug 29 '00
Pros: Speedy, Sounds great, rarely skips
Cons: None
There may be a lot of other changers that cost more or that they say can do more, but this is a great changer. It changes cd's fast, sounds very good, and has only skipped once since I've owned it, which was my fault b/c I hit a very large speed bump...
