Pros: Crisp, clean, efficient, attractive, excellent floorstanders at a great price Cons: 47hZ bottom-end (rated) can be tough to match to subwoofers w/o variable low-pass
First, to dispell any misinterpretations, this is hardly a "budget" speaker. Paradigm has done a tremendous job at bringing top quality gear and keeping the price so incredibly low. Many enthusiasts have been wowed at the performance AND value of...
Pros: They sound great, and they look nice. Cons: They're pretty big if you've only got a small space
Earlier this year I finally bit the bullet and dropped a good chunk of pocket change on a decent stereo system. After years of getting by with cheap ghetto blasters and department store mini-systems I wanted a stereo that would let me hear my music...
Pros: Good imaging, great bass, even better price Cons: Not for the faint at heart amplifier.
I had been hesitant to buy a floor standing speaker, mostly because of a determinedly curious three year old. But then, two things happened: The boy (my son) turned four (Which doesn't magically make him respect other people's property, but at least he...
Pros: Great sound, sounds better and better as broken in. Nice finish and elegant look Cons: Has me obsessed with listening to music and videos.
I have recently been on the quest for the perfect mid-price home theater system. This all started when I decided to use a bonus pay check to upgrade my speakers on my 10 year old pro logic system. I went out and bought a pair of Bose 301's at the local...
I bought the Monitor 7s ver. 4 last year (2005). I paid US$750 (MSRP) for the Monitors, but the salesman threw in a free center channel speaker (Paradigm On-the-Wall CC370), which made it a good deal. After evaluating them for about 10 months, I can ...
Pros: sweet sounding ..imaging is so nice Cons: there only 32 pounds...lightweight...they are not hard hitting bass speakrs
ppl ive been an audio gear lover since i was a boy. ive owned so many different receivers and speakers icant even think to count Although since the early ninties i had a love for klipsch speakers since i bought my first pair of kg 4.2 's from good ...
Pros: Incredible sound detail can hear each instrument, sound stage and imaging are amazing. Cons: Cons what cons, in my book there are none.
I purchased Monitor 7's a couple days ago. Had been using Mini Monitors for front R / L speakers that in their own right are very good speakers. I have been upgrading my system for several years, my goal is to have Paradigm speakers entirely. All most ...
Pros: Close your eyes and dream you are there... Cons: To get the most out of the low-end, you must use the spikes.
You can get the same sound out of Thiel, Revel, Wilson, and other $10K a pair speakers - but why? The monitor 7's have AMAZING clarity. They reproduce with amazing accuracy.
I'm not an audiophile, but for a while I've wanted something better than Polk and Infinity. I'm glad I went down to Northwest Audio Labs and listened to the monitor 7's - with my own music. I took a stack of CDs, they put me in a room and told me to have fun. I had to buy them. I've had these things for only 1 month and THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY. Kudos to Paradigm for making this kind of product affordable.
Sound better than my more expensive Bipolar Esprit by cujoe ,Oct 13 '03
Pros: Great bass, and mids and also great price. Cons: Tweeter a litte too harsh, but was told to break them.
Being that I'm Canadian I was comparing the PSB to the Paradigm, I listened to the PSB 4T's (about same price as the 7's) and 6T's and I was about to purchase the 4T's until I heard the Monitor 7's, I'm glad I went with them.
Been looking for a replacement for my Paradigm Bipolar Esprit for about 2 years, and I have had them for at least 7 years, and I do believe between help from the salesman at EHR and my own reviewing the Monitor 7s were a great choice, an amazing sounding speaker for both music and home theater.
Pros: Amazing sound, Great Value. 'Nuff said.
Cons: I suppose they could wire themselves for me. That would be handy.
I have owned my set of Monitor 7's for ~5 years. Right out of the box the sound quality was excellent. They have only improved with time and use. I have yet to find a style of music that they don't reproduce with flawless clarity. I alternate between bi-wired stereo for music and jumpered as part of my home theatre system (all speakers Paradigm as well for timber matching). The perfect speakers for my ears, and budget. Sound quality is of course subjective, but a "test drive" is highly recommended.
