Pros: Picture quality and relatively low price Cons: Not one!
To be honest, we purchased our Sony DVD player mainly because of the name, at least at the start. It turns out this was a great purchase. With so many "knock-off" companies out there, we decided to go with an old reliable company. Sony has a...

Pros: Great sound, great scenes and overall a great experience Cons: It is really on the exspensive side
This is one of the best DVD players on the market. As well as it should too for the price that they have put on it. The tracking is unbelievable and even if the disk has scratches on it, no problem, it reads right through. Too bad all the DVD players...

Pros: If you are an audiophile, or plan to be one, this is for you. Cons: A little pricey if you just want the basic features
I say that, because the technology of DVDs, like CDs is hard to get wrong. It is pretty much a standard across the board. My wife bought this unit for me for a surprise at Christmas of 1999. I supressed my urge to examine what she paid because it was...

Pros: Great player, fun extras Cons: hard to set up with old equipment
I received this DVD last summer as a wedding gift. Although I haven't had the chance to really test out its video and sound power because of my otherwise piddling tv/stereo set up (such as it is), this is a great DVD. I was a relatively early converter...
