Pros: Only cable in the area, better than satellite for our family needs. Cons: couldn't care less service attitude and increasing prices
When moving into our new home, we were encouraged to have extra cable outlets installed everywhere (at extra cost) by the builder. These points were checked and agreed by AT&T (actually TCI) but later turned out to be completely wrong. The one in...

Pros: Usually works, that's about it Cons: Limited package selection, Arrogant customer service, millions of excuses for raising rates
AT&T (nee TCI) Cable is the perfect example of why monopolies are bad news, have had the service for 6 years or so, the installation went well, and the service interruptions are minimal, now for the bad news:
In my area, we have but one choice...

Pros: No problems Cons: None
I've been using cable TV since 1948 so I've had the opportunity to see this medium in all its forms, and serviced by dozens of different providers. What we have today in the SF Bay Area is better than some, and not as good as others.
I've...

Pros: Many channels to surf. Cons: Customer service reps. are rude and misleading.
AT&T Cable (formerly TCI of N.E. Illinois) has been lying to me from the start. In August of 1999 AT&T Cable sent me notice of an increase in price due to an ongoing upgrade of their system. Additionally, I was informed that after the upgrade...

Pros: service is bad, overpriced and problems arise Cons: Color is better with some cable companies
Here in Oklahoma City, we have several choices of cable. Cox Cable is the main choice here, but they are so unprofessional and rude to the customers in addition to being very overpriced. We have tried the "antenna" cable. All we have to show for...

Pros: Digital cable pros - lots of channels, interactive menu guide Cons: Expensive, digital cable technology is quirky
As I am writing this epinion, AT&T (TCI) Cable is recommended 51% of the time. I can't believe that. You really don't have much of a choice when it comes to Cable TV. Where I live, I can either get AT&T or put some rabbit ears on top of my TV....

Pros: Reasonable selection of channels Cons: I wouldn't have been able to afford my package if my complex didn't pay for basic.
I moved back to Denver from Colorado Springs this past October. In Colorado Springs, my soon-to-be ex and I had their basic cable package for which we paid $30 a month. I soon got "hooked" on a 2 particular channels I'd not seen...

Pros: Cable Internet service (when up) was very fast. Cons: Customer Service was abysmal. Either their representatives are ill trained or simply incompetent.
I originally chose to trade with ATT because they offered a bundled package of high speed internet service, local phone service, and cable TV at a discounted rate. I first signed up for cable modem service. Installation was prompt, but ill performed....

Pros: It's better than nothing. Cons: High prices, bad reception at best, horrid customer service
AT&T has one advantage and one only.......it's better than nothing at all.
We live in an apartment that won't allow dish systems so we're stuck using AT&T. The service is awful, we haven't had a clear picture in the year that we've been here....

Pros: Easiest cable installer in Chicago (Monopoly?) Cons: Terrible customer service
I recently contacted AT&T in an effort to have cable installed. They told me to remain in my apartment from 8am to 12pm to wait for the installer. I waited and waited. At 11:50 I contacted AT&T and asked what the status of the installer was. The...

Pros: Good picture, lots of channels Cons: No digital sound
Even though the Digital Cable box has a Dolby Digital logo on it don't assume that you're going to get Dolby Digital sound out of the thing. This is amazing. I am looking to purchase a Dolby Digital Home Theatre system, I look on my cable box and it...

Pros: Fast internet (when it's on) Awesome cable box features Cons: Awful customer support, many billing mistakes
I have been pleased with the features of my digital cable, including a real-time menu for sorting through the many channels and ordering movies. The internet is very quick, I clock it at up to 1.8Mbps downstream on www.download.com, however it has been...

Pros: good variety of channels Cons: bad quality on local TV stations
Iam able to compare AT&T (TCI) to MediaOne because AT&T is offered where I go to school. For some reason AT&T does not make sense to me. They do offer a lot of channels, but for some reason the quality is not that good. For example, on the...

Pros: Digital cable is excellent Cons: Appointment times are inconvenient, prices are high.
I had digital cable last year and really enjoyed it. I like the fact that you can see what is on with the push of a button and then decide what to watch. I also like the fact that you don't have to call to order pay per view. The one thing that I...
