Pros: there wasnt any Cons: puts your payments in someone elses accounts and loses your paynment alot!
Our first home was financed through Citibank. Oh brother!!!!!! In the 10 years we had the loan they lost our payment 10 times! And of course they tried to accuse us of not remitting the payment. 10 times I proved them wrong. They posted our payment two...

Pros: stability, security, reliability, customization Cons: doesn't mirror the way people think about banking.
While the site is stable and gives the impression of very high security, it doesn't act like a cohesive banking tool. It appears they chose not to build the site around common use cases. The interface and features do not reflect the way online...

Pros: one stop shopping, customer service orientation Cons: it's a bank - rates are lower, and bureaucracy is alive
Let me tell you a story about this bank, and why I have stayed as a customer for over 15 years. I was robbed - of everything, a few years back, including visa, checkbook (with a new batch of checks), etc. Citibank's customer service worked with me -...

Pros: easy to use, bonus for opening account Cons: I live in Atlanta and there are no branches around here.
They did it. Yes, I was sucked in by one of those ads that seem to be everywhere that say open an account with us and get $50 (sometimes I see a $100 promise). Well my experience is that there are conditions but if you meet them you do get the bonus. ...

Pros: No pros. Cons: They mistakenly debited my checking $600 and didn't return it for 15 days.
I wrote a check for $600 and it was cashed last month. This month Citibank allowed it to be cashed again. When I called them they insinuated that this was probably fraud on my part, and they told me I'd better put more money in my account so my checks...

Pros: I'll let you know if there are any ever. They keep taking my calls. Cons: Rude, incompitant customer service. Almost illegal business practices. NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY!
I'd suggest anyone joining any military branch quickly re think that decision as I am now paying for it YEARS later. I am a pretty hardcore soldier I think, spent a year in Iraq and other fun places and my experiences with Citibank have almost brought ...

Pros: Low HELOC rate Cons: Deceptive, possibly illegal, definitely shady business practices. Phone customer service staff barely speak English.
We got a HELOC from Citibank last year. Here is the letter I wrote the branch credit manager after several months: November 11, 2007 To Whom It May Concern: We are writing this letter to formally complain about the deceptive behavior of one of ...

Pros: One of the few banks on East and West Coasts, decent online site. Cons: High fees, Impersonal service can leave you feeling kind of crappy.
My school required me to have a California bank account to do business with them, so I joined Citibank when I started school in LA. Coming from New York, I wanted a bank that was on both coasts, as to have convenience and to avoid ATM fees regardless...

Pros: decent rates - not the best, but but certainly not the worst... Cons: customer care leaves MUCH to be desired; not organized.
I applied for a home equity loan through Citibank because I had received a letter in the mail around the time that we were looking into putting some money into home repairs... Thinking that they were a good bank, we decided to go through them for our ...

Pros: Wide range of banking products available.
Good online services. Cons: Horrible Customer Service.
My wife and I have been with Citibank for about 2 years. It has been very convenient having all of our accounts with one bank, but it is an absolute nightmare dealing with customer service at Citibank. We started out by opening a basic checking ...

Pros: Online Banking and Bill Pay, Tools, Pricing Structure, Rewards Program (Thank You) Cons: Customer service quality dependent on who answers, not consistent high rate savings/money market offering
As I explored banking options, I considered if the services fit my needs which were top-notch free online banking and bill pay, minimize or eliminate fees (especially ATM) and have all records in one place. I banked with Wachovia for 7 years and there ...

Pros: Good online banking. Linked accounts are convenient. Cons: I've never gotten a toaster.
I've been with Citibank since 1987 and have only had a few glitches in that time. I have a checking account, overdraft protection and a no-fee platinum Mastercard. I have the basic checking account which only allows me to write a few checks for free ...

Pros: One branch close to my house, debit check card, quick online bill payment with citibankonline Cons: Lots of fees, way too many bank errors
First of all I opened this account because I desperately needed to open a basic checking account to pay my bills after wandering along without one. Just a simple little checking account with little or no monthly fees. So I ran to the local EAB and...

Pros: Easy to navigate website, customer service, ATMs everywhere in NYC Cons: High fees for some accounts
I just moved to NYC from Texas last summer and I was forced to switch banks. I decided to open an account with Citibank.
The reasons were simple: 1. ATMs are everywhere 2. No minimum balance for my checking account
I had no trouble...
