Pros: a bank, holds money Cons: takes advantage of you any chance they get.
I signed up for Wells Fargo a few years back, and used their service for a little while, well, for a time things were fine and dandy, but I decided to take my business else where after a while. Seems like a simple next step, close the account, shake...

Pros: many branches for convenient locations Cons: high fees, bad service, "big bank" atmosphere.
In the BIG BANK world, you are merely a number to them, and nothing more. It makes little difference to them whether or not you choose to bank there and it shows in their policies and their service.
We signed up for a joint checking account...

Pros: Nice Website. Cons: Everything Else.
This is a repeat of my review that can be found under Norwest Mortgage. I am also including this review under "Wells Fargo" because even though Norwest Mortgage Inc. now owns Wells Fargo, the website is still under the "Wells Fargo" company name. My...

Pros: Free checking, no mistakes, reliable. Cons: Slow teller service, riduculous id requirements
I have been with Wells Fargo (Norwest) for about 5 years now. I opened a checking account when I first got divorced as I needed my own account. I chose Norwest for the convenience. They seemed to have offices everywhere I went. And the closest bank ...

Pros: Lot of Locations, Great easy ATMs Cons: High price on bill pay, low interest rate on savings account.
I have been with Wells Fargo Bank since 1996 and in that time I have had no problems that weren't resolved very quickly and with an overall good feeling. I have setup direct deposit with them through out the years with several different employers and...

Pros: In business long time Cons: SERVICE CHARGES
My biggest gripe with Wells Fargo is that they charge you an outrageous service charge every month and you dont get many benefits for it. I no longer have an account with them. My ex-husband and I opened an account with them in 1989 and had this account...

Pros: fast service, friendly service, helpful employees Cons: ATM charges when using another ATM, To get the check card you must be approved unlike other banks
I have been banking at Weel Fargo bakn since I was 18 years old. I am now 21.
I have never had a problem with this bank as long as I have been a customer. As a matter of fact I don't think I have ever gotten bad service from this bank either. ...

Pros: none that I can think of Cons: terrible customer service
A short story to illustrate why I'll never have a Wells Fargo account.
My boyfriend and I were buying a house and had to consolidate our funds for transfer to the title company for closing escrow. One of his accounts couldn't do a transfer...

Pros: none that I can think of, Cons: they cheat their customers
Previously, I had written a glowing review of Wells Fargo, singing their praises, as it were....
Now their true nature comes out.
I received an account at Wells Fargo by default... they bought out the bank I had been previously using.
...

Pros: service, convenience Cons: no branches out east
I have been banking with Norwest for several years. When I heard about the merger of Wells Fargo and Norwest, I was worried that the new bank would be more concerned with size than with service. So far I have not found this to be the case. I live in...

Pros: 5.00 if you wait in line for more than 5 minutes Cons: None
I think that Wells Fargo has been a really good bank for me. I like the fact that they will give you $5.00 if you have to wait in line for more than 5 minutes. I also like their online banking because it is easy to use. The only thing that I criticize is...

Pros: banks everywhere Cons: dependability
I opened a Wells Fargo Checking account in my teens and had no real problems with it. Possibly because there was never any money in it buy overall I liked the bank. Now, ten years later I can honestly say that they are more good than bad. Any problems...

Pros: Great service, products, an online banking Cons: Not on East Coast, canned email responses
The problem is this...do you go with a small credit bureau and get great service, a decent rate but miss out on things like national ATM machines, online banking, a full range of financial services, and college bowl sponsorship. Or do you go with a...

Pros: nice tellers inside the branch's Cons: so very many!
I have been a Wells Fargo customer since early 1990's. I agree with another reviewer, heidi95842, that as long as you have little or no money in your account, and little or no action in your act., Wells Fargo is great. A little over a year ago I got...

Pros: they have a frequent flyer mile program(it costs though!) Cons: They don't seem to value customers, most of their cards have high interest rates and annual fees
I was a Wells Fargo student visa holder for 3 years. Once I graduated college I paid off my student account because of the high interest and the annual fee. I then applied for the standard W.F. Master Card. I assumed that the fact I had been with Wells...
