The buyer is not AT ALL protected by PayPal. I received a notice late Friday afternoon (of course) stating my account was frozen because of "unusual activity" associated with my bank account linked to PayPal. (Funny, my bank has never considered any of ...

Pros: Convenience. Cons: Lack of customer service. Rip-off/Expensive.
PayPal's customer service is a travesty. I called them because they arbitrarily put a hold on funds I received from an eBay auction. They had apparently updated their Terms of Service/Policies (without telling me) to say that they could put a ...

Pros: see above. Cons: see above.
Avoid Paypal and sellers that use it. PayPal does not protect you as a consumer. It's better to use a credit card, and only stick to sellers who can take them without going through PayPal. I was ripped off using PayPal. PayPal refused ...

Pros: None worth the risk of using PayPal services. Cons: No protection under the law. A law onto themselves, answerable to no one.
If you are a merchant, do not trust PayPal to honestly handle your electronic payments. I trusted them for 8 years. Then they put a hold on a payment with no explanation and no reason. They froze my account, preventing any transactions for 2 weeks. ...

Pros: Cheap Cons: Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never do business with Paypal again.
I had used PayPal a few times for purchases on EBay with no problem at all. I won my items, paid with my debit card from my preferred bank, and all was good. It was only until I decided to try to use their "send money" feature that my nightmare began. ...
