Best Pet Insurance on the Market!
by hazy-jane ,Jun 15 '09
Pros: *Affordable *Covers hereditary conditions *Low deductible for high coverage Cons: *Can't think of any. I did lots of research, and Petplan is the best.
I have two six-year-old mixed breed dogs and recently decided to look for pet insurance plans. We had plans when they were puppies, but the company we had the plans with did not reimburse much of our money when our puppy ate some bad things (he was so rotten as a puppy -- cute, but rotten!), so we let it lapse. Then, I read an article in Philadelphia Magazine about Petplan and decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier! We've got a $200 deductible for thousands of dollars worth of treatment. I hope we never need it, but I'm a worrier, so I sleep better knowing it's there. And, the people who work there were so kind and friendly. You can tell that they are real pet lovers -- they get that my dogs are my family, which I love.

New satisfied customer

Pros: Quick, efficient and helpful customer service. Cons: Plan seems expensive but they seem more efficient than another insurance company I was considering.
We got our puppy from a breeder and she activated a special 6 week coverage from Pet Plan free of charge. The reps did phone us to try to sell their life policy but I kept holding off because I was unsure of the quality of their policies. Our puppy developed a ear infection after 3 weeks and I was pleasantly surprised that Pet Plan paid us what we claimed under the free policy. We received the cheque very quickly and this got me sold. The rep did phone back as we requested and we now have our puppy enrolled in a standard life program.

Deceitful company
by msbunny ,Nov 03 '09
Pros: If your lucky you get the info you need from them before you buy Cons: They take your money and don't tell you critical things about their policies.
I was not told that my 6 month old dog needed to see a vet before I got her insured with Petplan. Any claim i would have sent would been considered a pre existing condition.

Simply The Best For Your Pal
by alan10111 ,Dec 10 '08
Pros: Confidence Peace of mind knowing you can give your pup the best care possible. Cons: None
This is the best pet insurance you can get. My little GSD puppy got pneumonia at 12 wks. old. Petplan paid for her treatment less my deductible in full. Over $3500.00 in treatment and rechecks.
Make no mistake. There is no equal. The founder, Natasha Ashton has proven her dedication to her customers and in the process has hired some of the best staff available. One outstanding example is Amy Bellingrath. As a Vet tech she has seen pneumonia cases before and was a great help. Not only is she kind and compassionate but also dedicated to Petplan's customers.
GET THIS INSURANCE! I'm really glad I did!! I hope you never need it, but if you do they are the ONE.
