Pros: In the past, their biggest asset was their relationship with the membership Cons: I don't believe that their priority is serving the membership anymore.
I have been a USAA member for over 20 years. This past December, I filed a claim for an accident that was my fault. I took my vehicle to the USAA recommended body shop and my vehicle still isn't right (March 2007. While the direct service from USAA ...

Pros: Inexpensive Insurance, Great Customer Service Cons: None that I've found
I changed my insurance a few months ago because a friend told me about USAA. He said I would save a lot of money by going with USAA and I definitely did. I saved over $100 on my premium with USAA, than what I was paying with Geico. I'm also getting...

Pros: Best rates with excellent reputation. Cons: None that come to mind.
Have had car insurance and renter's insurance with USAA for 18 years and have never had a problem. Their rates are the best that I have found anywhere and representatives are more responsive to requests than any other insurance company.

Pros: Helpful Customer Service Personnel Cons: Sacramento Auto Claims Office is a serious problem
Sacramento Auto Claims Office is Bad News!!! I have been insured by USAA for over 35 years. Several years ago I was rear-ended and received a serious neck injury. I filed a claim against the Underinsured Motorist Coverage in my policy. The Sacramento...

Pros: large solid company-still fairly good Cons: losing it's personal touch-getting stingy like other rinsurance companies
I have used this company for 20 years and am thinking of leaving. They used to be excellent, but now they are feeling the pinch just like all the other insurance companies. They have been more stingy on what they will include on claims, and fight to not...

Pros: Friendly customer service, competitive rates, easy claims Cons: Must usually deal with them over the phone
I've dealt with USAA the entire time I've had car insurance. They are extremely helpful with any problems or questions I have. Claims are quick and easy to process. Although I haven't done extensive price shopping because of their superior customer...

Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Rude adjusters
I have read with interest all of the positive comments about USAA's low rates. Although I do not know how low their rates are, I do have an idea as to why they may be low: Simply put, they don't pay off. I personally would rather pay a few more...

I also cannot believe that you get a...

Pros: Big Company, Good rates, Quick accident Claim processing Cons: Too much USAA junk mail, once you are a member.
Hello Everyone,
This is a tale that you could be yours. In December of 1999 I was driving my car down a hill near my home. The roads were snow covered and the conditions average for this time of year. At the base of the hill was an 80-degree...

Pros: lots of them Cons: cant find any right now.
I was not, nor have i ever been in the military! USAA offers family of military members (past or present) to have accounts--which is very generous of them. I have my own account because my father was in Vietnam. Some of the things I love about...

Pros: Excellent Services and Benefits; competitive rates Cons: not available to non-military/government personnel or affiliates
Considering the average costs of car insurance around the United States, USAA has remained competitive and affordable. Periodically, I've browsed around other agencies and investigated the costs of insurance coverage under their programs. I have yet to...
