Pros: Excellent gameplay, ample replayability Cons: Detrimental to what's left of your social life
Deciding whether or not to buy Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings wasn't really an issue for me. I played the original game until my eyeballs dried out.
Microsoft (actually, it's mostly Ensemble Studios), did a good job remaining true to the...

Pros: It it really cool with alot of players with you, but one player can get boring. Cons: It doesn't have as good graphics as the newer one but is just as fun, I would get the newer one.
This game doesn't have the same graphics as the new one, but it is certainly a great game. I have learned many cheats for this game over time, the cheats for Age of Empires II has different cheats that I think are harder to remember. While playing a...

Pros: Constantly entertaining Cons: None
Age Of Empires II is one of the most fun strategy games that I have ever played. It takes place during a very intense period in time in the castle days. So therefore, you must act accordingly and destroy as much as possible. It follows a very...

Pros: excellent gameplay and graphics; good replay value Cons: internet multiplayer is difficult to set up
Microsoft and Ensemble have created a sequel which far surpasses the original Age of Empires. Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings maintains the real time strategy gameplay of the original but improves on graphics, control, and adds many new features. The...

Pros: Great graphics Cons: highly addictive
I am addicted to this game. The graphics are great and the game is never the same twice. You can play up to 8 players at a time and the game is played by people all over the world. So you think you are getting good? try playing it on-line against some...

Pros: Cool and realistic Cons: if you've been on the Age of Empires scene for a while, you may get bored
Don't get me wrong, this is a great game if your new to the age of empires games. Even if your not, its not bad. For me though its just getting old. I beat the original and the expansion, but when I thought about playing them again, I just couldn't....

Pros: Good multiplayer capabilities, keeps your interest level high Cons: Average graphics, single player games are boring
Age of Empires 2 is definitely a must buy if you like building and strategy playing on the computer. It has average graphics, and an assortment of naval ships, ground units (archers, swordsman, cavalry), siege equipment (catapults, rams,) buildings, and...

Pros: GREAT Graphics Cons: Makes you play for hours
NO WAY!!!!This game, the sequal to the first one, is really great... I love it and play it all the time...The only problem with this game is that you really get hooked into it and since it takes so long to do everything in the game you just keep playing...

Pros: Very reliable graphics, fun, educational Cons: None that I can think of
I love this game! I purchased this game because I bought the first Age of Empires & really enjoyed it and thought that the second game would be even better. I was right!
This is a simulation game of the Age of Kings. You will build a...

Pros: Great Storyline, Good AI, Flexable Play options Cons: lot like previous game
I found this new swing on an old game quite refreshing. The new graphics and new civilizations, it was really amazing. The new Artificial Intelligence was really a refreshing opponent compared to AOE 1. I was really impressed with the graphics...

Pros: lots of imagination Cons: freezes up the computer sometimes
This is a great game...my brother has it and I played with it. It involves lots of thinking. You need to know what to do if you don't have a military but your enemies are attacking you. You also need to know what to do to get stone, wood, gold, and...

Pros: Lots of societies to choose Cons: Campaigns lack interest
A friend turned me on to strategy games about 18 months ago. She knew I had always been into video games and she needed help beating a personal opponent. They were playing Starcraft so I picked up a copy to learn the game. I enjoyed it. I played for...

Pros: Deep strategy, 13 civilizations and all of them play different, great multiplayer Cons: Boring single player, immature players on the Zone, all games are long
The RTS genre has become bloated with different titles, some good, most not. With all the choices, which ones float to the top and which ones sink to the bottom? Homeworld and Myth 2 are definitely prime choices, but Age of Empires II: Age of Kings has...

This game kicks! Especially if you have an entire afternoon to spend on the computer and no chores to do around the house. You can choose from many different Medieval civilizations, campaigns, maps, including: Baltic maps, Black Forest maps, Gold Rush...
