Great course Top 15 in state
by mrgolfguy ,Apr 11 '05
Pros: Great conditioning Cons: Most crowded (popular) course in town.
This course is ranked in the top 15 in Texas based on public courses with similar green fees. It is a beautiful course with large undulating greens, lots of sand and water as well. Bent grass greens putt very nicely, wide open links style where wind can play havoc with your shots. Facility also includes a 9 hole junior course (pitch & putt for adults) with holes ranging from 35 to 90 yds.

Great course! Go play!
by mick4tfd ,Sep 06 '04
Pros: Great fairways/ greens, good layout Cons: pricey, busy, few rest areas
Very nice course, played by mini-tour and nationwide, which says alot. Course is not too hard though, pretty long with some good challenges and great greens. Theres not a flat spot on the whole course I dont think, which makes most shots "thinking shots" about lie and roll. Im a long driver and theres a few par 4's that were driver/3 wood/ wedge in, making it very difficult to par. It plays more toward long hitters, whic makes it perfect for tour players but not so hot for the seniors (no offense). This I think is the best course in Waco, although the price is a little high ($31 weekdays) and it plays toward the longer hitters. All said, I could play this course daily, just wish they had more bathrooms!
