Pros: No cords, adjustable handle length, good power/suction, easy enough for kids to use. Cons: If not charged regularly, or if battery is fully drained, battery will die prematurely.
My wife and I got this vac as a freebie included with our Oreck home air filters. I've generally been skeptical of the power of these little hand vac's, but this one really works. The two motor design was pretty clever, as it extends a ...

Pros: lightweight and easy to use Cons: lacks durability
When shopping for a vacuum, I wanted to buy the best unit I could find that was designed for use with hardwood floors. I chose Oreck based on the recommendation of my father-in-law, the manager of a resort that uses many of Oreck's hotel vacuums. ...

Pros: lightweight, cordless Cons: low voltage, doesn't pick up hair, clogs with dust
My mother got this vacuum free after purchasing two Oreck air purifiers on QVC. She gave it to us since her home is mostly carpeted and it was described as a "light duty" machine which translates to "can't suck up anything" apparently. I kept this ...

Nice little vacuum
by muttlover ,Dec 09 '06
Pros: light weight, cordless, bagless, rotating carpet brush works great Cons: no complaints yet
I just bought this vacuum yesterday and so far I really like it. We have three large dogs that shed and bring a lot of pine needles in on their paws this time of year. I vacuumed my kitchen, living room, dining room and stairs this morning and it worked great. I couldn't believe how much pet hair it picked up! I was afraid it wouldn't have enough suction to really do the job but it does. I bought it thinking it would probably end up being returned after the 30 day trial but I don't think so. The handle folds down so it fits nicely under the breakfast bar in my kitchen. And it's cordless and bagless which is a nice change from my regular vacuum. And it's quiet, doesn't freak out the pets.

Oreck electric broom failure
by shiprocks ,Jan 29 '09
Pros: Ok for a while Cons: A dishonest merchandise dump
I paid real money for this thing about 1.5 years ago. Rechargeable battery gave out. I took it back to Oreck dealer and he said the battery couldn't be replaced. They should have advertised it as the "First disposable vacuum cleaner".No design awards here.

Waste of $$$. Not the vacuum for me.
by kcgb4141 ,Feb 19 '07
Pros: Its light and easy to use. Cons: It DOESN'T suck...So then whats the point?
This thing wont even suck up empty bird seed husks, and most of what you vacuum gets jammed in the neck and falls to the floor when you shut it off. I've had to take mine apart twice to clean it out. You need to leave it on carpet because the bare floor setting doesn't do the job.

What ever happened to the Regina lectric broom??
by alan51sr ,Oct 27 '07
Pros: There are no pros Cons: It doesn't pick up anything in any mode.
If I had been tricked into paying for this product I would want double my money back just for the false claims it makes, like the one that says it works. I can only use it on my wood kitchen floor and it won't even do that. The Swiffer cordless vac is 10 times better. I want to replace the filter, can't find one. This picks up nothing.

I love my Electrikbroom!
by luvn2kids ,Jul 31 '07
Pros: No power cord, detachable hand-vac, always fully powered (if you leave it plugged in). Cons: Doesn't have tremendous sucking power, but still manages to get the job done.
I read the reviews here and decided to get the Oreck Electrikbroom anyway. But unlike the others, I love it!
Here's why:
- With no power cord, I don't have to keep switching plugs as I move from room to room. I leave mine charging. Unlike a phone or camera, you can't overcharge it. So it's always fully charged.
- It picks up crumbs quickly and easily...even my 5-year old can do it (and often does). With the removable hand-vac, I can get under the kitchen table and around chair legs easily.
- It gets my hardwoods clean without scratching.
- It easily and quickly picks up surface dirt on my rugs (I use the big vacuum for deeper cleaning).
- It helps me keep my house clean on a daily basis with very little effort.

I agree....first disposable vaccum!
by chrissy8378 ,Jun 17 '09
Pros: works for a few months Cons: doesn't work longer than a few months
don't spend a penny on this....we got it free and sure, at first it worked great...but after a few months the batteries last less and less time betweeen charging...til it finally just won't even charge anymore. and like someone already meantioned, can't be replaced. First disposable vaccum is more like it! We just dumped ours in the trash
