The Georgian Terrace Hotel, Atlanta.....A Glimmer of the Past on Peachtree Street

by tombarnes Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jul 09 '04
Pros: Spacious suites in Midtown at a reasonable price, very friendly and willing staff
Cons: A few dents and marks here and there...this is not the Four Seasons......
The Georgian Terrace has survived the indignities of urban renewal with aplomb. A great history and very fair rates make his hotel a solid choice for those wishing to stay in Midtown Atlanta. A Brief History The Georgian ...

Discover this Atlanta Jewel Box

by unterspan , Jun 15 '04
Pros: Beautiful atmosphere, great price.
Cons: Need transportation to get around Atlanta.
The Georgian Terrace is a white behemoth wedding cake of a building that offers some of the largest and most luxurious rooms in Atlanta. Located directly across from the Fox Theater it's location can't be better if you are visiting for one of the ...

Never going back

by pipermaru , Jun 11 '08
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything else
I booked with the hotel (not a third party travel site) in advance for a double room with two queen beds. When I checked in, promptly at 3 pm (the earliest possible check in time) they didn’t have any double rooms available. They put me in a temporary ...

Wonderful and Historic!!!

by hanalei , Nov 25 '00
Pros: location, location , location + first rate
Cons: none
I would recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to feel pampered. When we checked in, we were escorted to a suite that didn't exactly match the accomadations listed in the on-line reservations I had made (although the room was quite beautiful.) When I...

Georgian Terrance- Not for Wheelchair Users
by cripfemme ,Nov 23 '04
Pros: classic decor, great beds, appliances in room
Cons: really unaware of access needs
I stayed here for a conference last week! What a nightmare! They actually had to install a grab bar and move me to a different room because their wheelchair accessible room wasn't. They also don't have a lot a wheelchair accessible bathroom elsewhere in the hotel. I didn't get to bed until 4 AM. On the plus side, roll in showers in the hotel gym and REALLY nice staff. If you have any problems ask for Howard.

The hotel was really beautiful and right downtown. It was an easy walk from the train. Also great food, but not if you're a vegetarian.

great place
by cassiebuford ,Aug 03 '05
Pros: beautiful, clean, nice staff, big suite
Cons: tons of traffic, expensive parking
My family stayed here for our trip to see the Braves play. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, the rooms were large and clean, and quiet. We stayed on the 16th floor where we did not hear any outside traffic or other noise from the other vacationers. I booked our room at Orbitz for $114 night, but when we checked out the attendant gave us the room for $89 a night, which was a surprise. The parking is steep at $25 a day, but very convenient. It was downtown Atlanta, which was inconvenient for driving, because of the traffic, but all in all, it was a great experience for us and we would stay again.
