Pros: Beautiful setting, Excellent staff, Pools, Beach, Fishponds, Lots to do on-site and nearby
Cons: Expensive, Some rooms not so great, Only one restaurant on-site
“Wow” That was my first reaction as we came down the Waikoloa Beach Drive and turned into the Waikoloa Beach Marriott. As my Mom and I got out of the car and went in to check in, I thought to myself that this was going to be an enjoyable stay. ...

The spirit of Aloha still lives here...

by icio Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Oct 19 '06
Pros: Not crowded, very scenic, excellent service
Cons: a little bit isolated, only one restaurant.
The Marriott Waikoloa Beach Hotel is not the fanciest hotel in this area or the most conveniently located, but it is still a great place to spend a vacation in Hawai'i. Hotels in this part of the world are often expensive enterprises. To give you an ...

I might note that our first stay was on the...

Great place to stay

by welke_welke , Jul 27 '01
Pros: lovely rooms, nice quiet location, near shopping
Cons: far from main action (Kona) and snorkling
This was my first time in Hawaii. My husband and I were looking for a great place to relax and do some snorkling. Due to the great package deal from Suntrips, we decided to stay out the Outrigger Waikoloa.

Our package included daily buffet...

Wonderful - but under construction

by mtfreak , Feb 07 '07
Pros: Very Hawaiian feeling, not too much resort, or fancy feeling.
Cons: Under construction. Which may destroy all the pros. Time will tell.
I just spent the first few days of Feb 2007 at the Hilton, just up the beach from the Marriott. So I have not stayed at the Marriott since 2004. But I walked through it and may have a bit of valuable information for anyone planning on staying in this ...
