Pros: It's not on the Strip Cons: Don't expect top service, quality, or a "Vegas" experience
Travelscape was running a deal on the weekend after Thanksgiving for $99 rooms at the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort. In comparison to the much higher available room prices on the Strip that weekend, and anticipating (correctly) massive crowds in...
Pros: Clean, pretty, and very quiet Cons: needs better staffing, and more attention to a customers needs
My fiancée and I recently flew to Las Vegas to get married. Nov.22-25th 2003. It was a quick long extended weekend trip. I have never been to Las Vegas before, so I was pretty excited about seeing everything. My hubby planned the flight the ...
Pros: Beautiful facility, GREAT POOLS, Nice rooms, Good food, Cons: REMOTE LOCATION, Area still being developed, Pricey Food.
My husband and I spent 4 nights here. We were looking for a warm, quiet location to enjoy the last few days of summer; reading and relaxing at a pool. This really fit the bill. There are two wonderful pools, lots of chaise lounge chairs, umbrellas and ...
Pros: The grandest hotel in the desert (before the neighboring Ritz-Carlton opens); nice rooms. Cons: Casino is a joke; about 30 mins. from the Strip.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort for a family reunion. The hotel is beautiful on the outside, and impressive on the inside as well, although the North African theme wears a little thin after a while. The rooms are ...
Pros: Beautiful! Cons: Expensive food, but what hotel doesn't have that?
Sure, this hotel is far away from the Strip, but it was worth it. I am only 17, so this is an opinion that might help if you have a teenager. At this age, there really isn't much to do in Las Vegas. Your over the arcades, but to young to gamble. All...
Pros: Beautiful resort, a service-oriented staff, fabulous food, and and excellent children's program Cons: More fun activities for families in Summer than in Winter
From the moment we drove up and were greeted by the valet, we felt very welcome in this resort. The front desk staff were so polite and efficient and kindly hospitable. Though we arrived an hour before our room was ready, it gave us a chance to tour...
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, but still close to the Vegas action. Reasonably priced Cons: Expensive high-speed internet access, questionable policies regarding the use of luggage carts
We travel to Vegas frequently and have stayed at most of the big hotels on and off the strip. Now that our children (four and six) are making trips with us, we enjoy finding hotels like this one. They have an excellent kids program and an outstanding ...
Pros: Great deals available on true resort property. Cons: Charged mandatory "resort fee" -$10/night - on top of already negotiated price w/Priceline.
This place was great! My impression is completely colored by the fact that I got it for $82/night on Priceline, but it really is a top notch resort. The facilities are very well appointed. Valet parking is speedy and convenient. The spa had one of ...
Pros: Beautifully appointed, wonderful staff, concierge service was first rate. Cons: None
This is the most beautiful hotel/resort I have stayed at in recent years. It is located approximately 20-25 minutes from the strip in a quiet setting overlooking the lake. The staff was responsive and friendly, the rooms were beautiful, and the decor and...
Pros: pool, resort feel, quality of room, customer service Cons: small casino
what a place! we moved from the Mirage to this place and we kept thinking why we bothered to stay at the Mirage at all.
of course, it is a far drive from the strip, but i considered it the best place to stay in las vegas at $90 (Friday!) a night. of course, we have been to vegas many times and stayed on the strip at different hotels, so the idea of being on the strip to us doesn't mean much anymore. if you put it in perspective, you can get stuck in traffic driving from Mandalay Bay to the Mirage (on the strip) for over 30 minutes. i just don't consider it that long of a drive from the Hyatt.
it definitely has that resort feel to it and i really enjoyed the pool and the calmness of being at this hotel.
the room was very large and very well kept and maintained. it was much better than the mirage, for sure.
next time we go to vegas, we will certainly stay at this hotel and just drive to the strip when we need to.
