Pros: Wide variety of subjects, focuses on [duh] inventions and technology, educational. Cons: $4.99 an issue at the newsstand, only published quarterly.
When issues of this started arriving in my mailbox I was a little puzzled; I didn’t remember subscribing to it nor is it something that I would ever take interest in reading if I saw it at a newsstand. My oldest forgot to mention that he ...
Pros: It implicates an unambiguous Scientific professionalism and it circumscribes much cognizance on every subject.
Cons: Its expense is inefficacious and the topics are disproportionately insignificant and encompass exiguous prominence.
A Descendent of American Heritage

A friend of mine was leaving our company and gave me a stack of these magazines before he left. He knew I had an interest in history and thought I would enjoy these. He was right! I have recently picked up new editions at the newsstand and I am glad...
Bravo! An inspiring tale of the history of technology by toyzrme ,Sep 17 '05
Pros: Well-written, accurate, and professional; not loaded with ads Cons: none
This magazine is a fascinating and inspiring portrait of the inventiveness, intuition, and sheer determinism that is America.
Anyone who is fascinated by the likes of Thomas Edison and his light bulb, Henry Ford and the car, and so on will LOVE this magazine. Is that 'the common citizen'? I don't know - but I think any engineer, businessman, inventor, or scientist, with the slightest interest in history and where all this technology around us came from, will thoroughly enjoy this magazine.
This is NOT a magazine about current science and technology and what is driving invention forward TODAY - after all, this is *American Heritage* Invention and Technology - it's a history magazine. One that focuses on invention and technology.
Note: the pompous superiorati of the world will probably NOT enjoy this comment/review ;-)
