Pros: Good information; wide format Cons: Overemphasis placed on expensive, sporty cars
Automotive magazines can be both entertaining and informative. They keep you abreast of the latest vehicles, with eye- catching photography that makes you want to head to the nearest dealership, for a test drive. They also keep you informed on the latest...
Pros: Great comparison tests. Awesome pictures. Cons: Boring editorials. A little too much "track" and not enough "road."
There is a certain time of the month that I await eagerly and with much anticipation: when the car magazines arrive. I am subscribed to Road and Track (2 years), Car and Driver (3 years), and have just recently received my second issue...
Pros: Wide format, In-depth articles Cons: Too many advertisements, Could use some more of those excellent photo shots.
I subscribed to Road and Track about 6 months ago, initially wanting to subscribe only to 'Car and Driver' magazine, I ended up subscribing to 2 other magazines, Motor Trend, and Road and Track. I had never purchased, nor seen an ...
Pros: photography, editorial variety, car selection, no trucks Cons: they go too soft on the poor performers, too many advertisements
Have you ever put your window down to hear the engine of the Ferrari next to you? Have you ever test-driven an exotic car just because you could? Have you ever gotten up at a ridiculous hour to watch a Formula 1 race? Do you say "Porscha"?
Pros: lots of sport car reviews. Cons: Too many adds.
I subscribed to Road and Track about a year ago, and am probably not going to renew this magazine. It's not that the articles are terrible or anything, I just am bored with the articles and aren't really interested in the cars. Not to mention the tons...
Pros: car comparisons, performance information Cons: editorials are lacking sometimes
Road & Track is a magazine for automobile enthusiasts. This magazine provides vivid pictures of the cars you want to see with accurate detailed information on performance, handling, interior, and over all scoring of the vehicle.
Pros: Remains focused on cars; in-depth tests and reviews. Cons: New cars only , modifiers/racers need to look elsewhere.
At my home, in the tall stack of car magazines, are the following: Road&Track, Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Grassroots Motorsports, and many others. I grab for the Road&Track first. There is no hesitation on my part, and often I have to fight...
Pros: Covers dream cars, awesome new layout and design, great foreign input. Major race reviews. Cons: New bigger size doesn't fit back of toilet. Forget Seinfeld.
The Truth
When it comes down to it, there really isn't a pavement-width of difference between Automobile Magazine, Car and Driver, or Road & Track. And I suppose the same might be said for Motor Trend but I haven't looked at it in years.

Pros: let me get back on that in a couple years Cons: do you really want to know?
Currently I have three subscriptions, Motor Trend, Car and Driver, and Road and Track. Road and Track is about to go bye-bye. Don't get me wrong it is a good magazine... if all you want to read about is cars. They also test too many foreign cars and...

Pros: Full of interesting cars Cons: I read the darn thing too fast!!
At my house there are stacks of Road & Track magazine in every bathroom and every bedroom in the house. Some date back to ten to fifteen years ago, and everyone of them has been read cover to cover.
Pros: Low price, quality pictures, good coverage of car shows Cons: Poor articles
Cars are my life and what better way to support my 'blood line' then getting my hands on anything relating to cars. I picked up my first issue of Road & Track because the ultimate car was on the cover, the McLaren F1. The magazine was good. I have...

I first picked up this magazine because I needed something to read on a vacation. I purchased it, flipped through the articles during the trip, and realized that this magazine was a real winner.
