Loyal...to Who?: Eminem's Unintentional Sacrilege

by balogun balogun is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Music, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 02 '06
Pros: Huh?...Okay, okay, the remixed beats were pretty nice
Cons: Ill-fitting production, redundant lyrics, manipulated vocals, overall inauthentic feel
Let me start this off by saying that I have hardly any doubts of Eminem’s intentions, I really do. Men, you should read the liner notes – Em absolutely reveres ‘Pac. Mom Dukes must have sensed it from his involvement in the Tupac: ...

Loyal to the Game: 'Pac Sheds Silent Tears In His Grave

by snik1, , Mar 06 '07
Pros: A couple of decent songs
Cons: Mundane beats and lyrics, horrible warping of Pac's vocals and lyrics, generic topics
2Pac’s legacy has been stretched out long past the point in which his posthumous albums can even be considered respectable – and this being the 7th album released after his death, it ain’t hard to see why. Loyal to the Game is the ...

The 9th 2Pac record released since his passing...

by e113 , Dec 14 '04
Pros: New 2Pac material, some nice production
Cons: A few whack guest spots, some unfitting production
Upon listening to this record, I had seriously mixed feelings about it. I knew that Eminem produced 13 of the album's 17 tracks, in addition to being co-executive producer of the project. Something about that just didn't feel right. I always find it a ...

Loyal to the game-Continuing the 2Pac legacy

by tim12 , Jan 01 '05
Pros: Some tight production, powerful songs, not really a bad track.
Cons: Some songs don't exactly meet their mark, repetitive production by Eminem
What can you say about 2Pac? I can describe 2Pac in one simple word. LEGEND. Nothing more to be said. With the 9th Tupac release since his passing, "loyal to the game" gives us more amazing songs and lets us hear more amazing and powerful ...

How "Loyal to the Game" is Marshall Mathers?

by t-time05 , Dec 14 '04
Pros: Some real hard hitting songs, like Ghetto Gospel and Black Cotton
Cons: Eminem, lack of good content, Eminem, bad utilization of Tupac and Eminem
On June 16, 1971 , Tupac Amaru Shakur, Tupac meaning shining serpent in Inca, and Shakur meaning thankful to god in Arabic, was born in New York city. Afeni Shakur, Tupac's mother was a strong activist, and joined the Black Panther party, 3 ...

It ain't 2Pac's fault

by jt14887 , Apr 13 '05
Pros: Some good songs
Cons: The whole album except for the songs that are good
Firstly, let me clear something up. I have known a lot of people (and I have seen some reviews stating an untrue fact, too) who believe 2Pac wasn't an emotional rapper. What are you kidding me??? 2Pac is one of the most EMOTIONAL rappers out there. ...

Loyal To The Game is not loyal to Pac's real work

by goreman , Dec 15 '04
Pros: Don't You Trust Me, the 4 remixes by other producers than Eminem
Cons: Weak beats, Eminem singing, Eminem monopolising the production, Replacing Pac's words
Being a 2Pac fan i don't agree with Eminem monopolizing the whole album production, but i gave the album a try and my fears came true: This is the worst 2Pac album up to date. I will get right into the topic: The first track Soldier Like Me feat. ...

Loyal From the Grave

by bonesmack , Nov 14 '05
Pros: Rhymes, Production, Lyrics, Guest Appearances, Versatility of Artists,
Cons: Lack of Quality on few Songs, Editing of Pac's Words
After listening to the 9th album, 'Loyal to the Game', from slain rapper Tupac Shakur, I developed mixed feelings about the continuing creation of 2Pac albums. Since his death in 1996, mother Afeni Shakur has done everything in her power to keep her ...

Tupac music alive, keep it gangsta!!!
by kayas ,May 27 '05
Pros: Tupac is still the best of all time!!!!
Cons: It needs to sound more like old school Pac.
Tupac Shakur in my mind is still the best rapper of all time, and I will listen to his music until the day I die. This is a good cd, but at the same time it just doesn't feel as much like Tupac. Emeniem did a god job with this, but it just doesn't quite feel like the real Tupac. Obviously I know that he has passed on but his music still lives, and I would like to keep it more original Pac, I like the gangsta music he made, this is more getting away from that. That was his style, lets keep it that way!
