Pros: This is metal! Is on Dantesguides list of 10 best metal albums ever. Cons: You will be beaten down if you think there is a weakness,Bleeding Ears.
In the mid 1980’s the San Francisco Bay Area was home to many of metals hot new bands. Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, and Exodus were grabbing the entire spotlight. It was only natural that the East Coast responded with it’s own form of insanity in the...

Pros: Vicious speed metal. Interesting lyrical influences. Cons: Could use more lead guitar.
As a youth in the 1980s, my main musical tastes revolved around such hard rock/heavy metal acts like Ratt, Motley Crue and Ozzy Osbourne. When heavier bands like Metallica and Megadeth started growing in popularity, I was not really all that interested....

Pros: A true thrash classic Cons: Not as highly regarded as it should be
Anthrax has always seemed like the forgotten child of the big four. When people talk about the legendary thrash bands of the 1980s, many people can easily call to mind Metallica, who would go on to become the biggest metal band of all time. And most ...

Pros: Loud, fast stuff from a metal band that thrashes all over the place. Cons: Bone-dry, thin production; some weak lyrics here and there.
Anthrax was a strange band, to say the least. On one hand, you had lead vocalist Joe Belladonna, who admitted in some interview once that one of his favorite bands was Journey, a light rock band to say the least. On the other you had rhythm guitarist...

Pros: The best Anthrax album, and a true classic Cons: Ummmm....you can't smoke it
Anthrax was/is a New-York based thrash band that emerged in the early 80's along with other thrash legends Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer. Their 3rd or 4th album (don't go make me look it up), "Among the Living" was the one that really put them on the...

Pros: Great thrash anthems on here like CAUGHT IN A MOSH! Cons: Sometimes songs can linger
Anthrax were always the band in the thrash community that everyone liked. They were as technical as Metallica or Megadeth nor were they as Satanic or violent as Slayer or Sodom, but what they were always a good band that played tight grooving thrash that ...

Pros: great lyrics, heavy music Cons: none
Back in the days of "hair metal", most heavy metal bands' songs feel into three categories - 'girls and cars', 'dragons and magic' or 'death metal'. There were seldom other types of songs, but some bands DID stick out with some original...

Pros: Anthrax's defining album. Cons: Nothing...
Released in 1987, "Among the Living" by pioneering thrash metal band "Anthrax" is viewed by many as their finest. While I disagree, (I personally feel Persistence Of Time is their best) I do feel it is an excellent album, and the one...

Pros: Thrashes heavily; like Anthrax ought to. Cons: A weak song or two; but nothing that should prevent you from purchasing this album.
I'm not a record reviewer, and I don't play one on TV or on the internet, so please bear with me here. I've listened to Anthrax since "Fistful of Metal" came out, and in my opinion, this is one of their very best albums. The album opens with the ...

Pros: Fast, heavy, trendsetting, mosh it up! Cons: like most metalabums those days, a really bad drum-production
Introduction to Sir Isaak's reviews:
First of all, to understand my metalreviews, one must have knowledge of music-styles within the metal genre.
If you're not familiar with metalstyles, well I advise to go listen to some variety of metal...

Pros: This has "I Am the Law" on it! Cons: None
Among the Living is probably Anthrax's best album out of the 1980's.
It has all the classics on it like "A.I.R" and "N.F.L. (Efilnikifesin)" and of course, "Indians!"
How could you turn that down.
I think the album, even though it comes...
