Pros: follows the Biblical story and spins like a big soap opera if you like that Cons: I got burned out on it and such Biblical epics
Some otherwise normal people don’t see the need for heroes in their life. They can even become hostile and sardonic when confronted with the fact that most people celebrate heroism. I won’t name names, but I know there are some of these Lone Rangers here...
Pros: terrific special effects. an exciting story. Cons: melodramatic. REALLY bad dialogue.
The most spectacular film Cecil B. De Mille made was also his last. The Ten Commandments which stars Charleton Heston as Moses and De Mille himself as the voice of G-d, though a blockbuster in its own day, is melodramatic and over the top. It's...
Pros: Glorious, old-fashioned pomp and circumstance Cons: Incontestably funny

I’m both a lover of film and in my mid-twenties but I saw The Ten Commandments for only the first time last week. I’ve tried watching it on television in the past (it airs every Easter weekend here in...
Pros: Acting, the best Cons: I wish they used better environmental techniques
I have lots of friends on Dad's Planet, whom I stay in touch with quite frequently. One of those friends is very dear to me, a man that doesn't need any introduction, his faith unattainable, Mr. Charlton "Moses" Heston.
Pros: Great Director Good Acting Great Scenes Cons: None
The Ten Commandments is truly a magnificent film. The director Cecile B. DeMille has to be considered a genius for having the virtue to produce such a film. It must have been a painstaking job to shoot each scene. And the only reference he had to use...
Pros: Great effects for a movie made in this age! Cons: That dang intermission!
Call me cheesy. Call me corny. I don't care. I'm 34 years old and I still believe that this is the best movie of all time! The original Ten Commandments starring Charleton Heston and Yule Brenner is still the greatest of TV drama. I'm still stirred, ...
Pros: Family film to be enjoyed for all ages. Cons: None
This film is truly one of the best pictures I have ever seen in my lifetime and is a family favorite that is enjoyed every Easter when the film airs on broadcast television. As Easter approaches, I know that I will be watching this film once again...
Pros: I'd follow Heston anywhere in this film Cons: Not for people with short attention spans - although . . .
I have this movie in my collection. I think it is one of the greatest epics of all time along with the likes of Ben-Hur and Spartacus. deMille was a great director who had the courage to redo his own work. The special fx were fabulous (Academy Award...
Pros: a very moving movie Cons: a little over 4 hours length
truly a masterpiece of film making here, the remake of the ten commandments by cecil b.demille a 1956 classic in its era.which through the passing of time would go on to be a favorite of all. few motion pictures can equal the splendor and pagentry of...
Pros: It's old-fashioned epic movie making Cons: It's old-fashioned epic movie making
It's one of the classic epics by the legendary DeMille. Very grandeous and melodramatic. What makes this movie completely corny also makes it great. It's a look back into a style of acting that isn't seen anymore, (thank God!) but is very amusing. This is a must see for those who enjoy old classics.
