Pros: short sweet story --- lovely detailed drawings
Cons: maybe a bit too short
Angelina Ballerina was originally published in 1983. Written by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig it is sweet and quaint, and yet something any little dancer can relate to.

Angelina is a young mouse and all she wants in life...

Angelina Ballerina--A Daughter's Treasured Book

by Barefooter Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Nov 26 '00
Pros: This will easily become a treasured book
Cons: The ending comes too soon
Is there a special girl in your life who has visions of graceful ballerinas dancing in her head? A girl who thinks ballerinas ought to be displayed on a box of Wheaties? Or perhaps a little girl who loves dressing up in tutus and twirling around the...

by tlbwriter Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, May 25 '04
Pros: Sweet little stories, instructive without being preachy
Cons: No DVD menu, probably not interesting to boys
Angelina Ballerina is a charming character originally created by author Katharine Holabird and illustrator Helen Craig. The subject of several books and an animated PBS series, Angelina is a "mouseling" who loves ballet more than anything. The "Rose ...

Pros: Beautiful,detailed drawings; charming story

I was first attracted to this book by the beautiful, detailed illustration on the cover. The sweet little mouse, Angelina, in her pretty pink tutu...what mommy of a 3-year-old girl could resist?

Angelina Ballerina is the story of a...

Pros: Beautiful illustrations, fun concise stories

We have just discovered these delightful books by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig.
The first in the series, Angelina Ballerina, is a big favorite on my 4 year old's list of bedtime stories. It's about a little mouse,...

Angelina conquers her fear
by mlmack ,Mar 08 '07
Pros: Cute story of working past your fear and being triumphant.
Cons: Love her and her stories, but she is a little bit of a drama queen
My four year old daughter loves Angelia. This story is about Angelina as a wanna be prima ballerina, who loves to dance and loves her family, and loves her teacher Miss Lilly. She is an all around good mouseling, with a heart of gold and a lot of little girl traits. This episode is about Angelina being chosen to be the lead in the show, then told that she has to “fly” on a single wire across the stage. Fear surrounds Angelina, but she triumphs. Angelina is a good role model, but she is a bit of a drama queen. Good story!
