Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, does complete most tasks, good for students up to Geometry. (8th grade) Cons: Crowded Layout, battery powered, (should be solar), poor functionality, and only 3 memory slots
It has always been my policy to try and find a good use for items I purchase. Most of the time these purchases are under researched impulse buys that were required to complete a task and made with such haste that one does not even consider the ...
Pros: Costs next to nothing, does all your basic functions Cons: Doesn't graph, but what do you expect?
First of all, let me start by telling you what this calculator won't do. It won't graph functions or equations for you, nor will it solve complex, multidimensional matrices. It won't calculate complex or two-variable statistics or probabilities...
Pros: Easy to use, intuitive keyboard, sturdy and virtually unbreakable. Cons: Very poor design of memory functions.
As an initial warning, I must state that I have been using an TI-30 for the last eleven years, and I love it. This opinion may be a bit biased in favor of the TI-30.
Overview: The TI-30 is a basic scientific calculator, offering some...
Pros: Very Durable, Affordable, Easy to read display screen, easy to press keys, Cons: Might be expensive at Gift shops ect. Recommend buying at Kmart, Target, Staples, OfficeMax ect.
Copyright Kristen Gilliam Ok, I have to say the TI-30Xa solar Texas Instruments calculator is by far the most useful calculator I’ve ever used. It is ideal for Algebra students entering high school. I have been using mine for over 3 years and ...
Pros: Cheap, has solar panel, relatively big buttons, more than enough functions for scientific work. Cons: reliability: I've seen couple of them dead; hard to read purple on gray.
I needed a calculator for my work in a molecular biology lab. It had to do logs, 1/x, constants and regression. So, I took a catalog and figured that TI 30X solar fits my needs and was the cheapest model of all listed. I had been working well for about...
Pros: Inexpensive, durable, easy to use Cons: none
I purchased this calculator as it was required for two of my high school classes, pre-calculus and physics. I was surprised at the affordability of the calculator.
This particular calculator is very easy to use. I would speculate that even...
Pros: Never needs batteries, small Cons: easy to lose
It has gotten late and i decided to write an epinion on something but couldn't figure out what to write on, so i decided to write on the trusty calculator sitting next to my computer. I have owned this calculator for well over a year, and have used...
Pros: cheap, reliable, many functions Cons: None whatsoever
I purchased this calculator when my geometry teacher asked for a scientific calculator three years ago. At first I was a little put off by the number of functions this calculator had, and was confused at first by certain functions. For example, the...
Pros: Logically laid out keyboard, includes all basic functions, inexpensive Cons: Limited functions
The TI-30X is the standard calculator used in most science classes at the University of Ottawa, where I am a student. Even though students in my engineering classes mostly use TI-86 and TI-89 models, I have used the TI-30X in some instances where...
Pros: Definitely Easy for Most Cons: Lots of Buttons Aren't Easy for Beginners
I bought this calculator because it was required in one of my daughter's classes. I tried it out and found it easy to use and easy to read and understand. I was thankful that I didn't have to sit there and punch at it for hours to try to understand...
I bought this product when I was in college to aid me in my math class. When it worked it was a great calculator. Then one day out of the blue the numbers started fading out, not all of the numbers faded, just some of them. For example if I typed 8 all...
At the beginning of a new school year.. I found myself in dire need of a reliable calculator. Through fate I found the TI 30Xa. What luck! During the passing days I have found this little stress-saver to be quite a joy, with its many useful buttons and...
Warning - very funky, unreliable calculator by dorenste ,Jun 22 '05
Pros: Inexpensive, simple construction Cons: All of the problems states above
This calculator has behaved erratically since I bought it (and another of the same model for my partner) two years ago. The buttons are both overly sensitive to the point that you have to be extra careful not to brush against another number as you compute and sometimes do not respond at all. Now, the numbers displayed are different than the ones I am typing in. Perhaps its the batteries, but I don't have any sign how long it might have been doing this.
I have used this calculator at work for over 5 years and I have always had good results. The solar panel works well under fluorescent lighting. I especially like the 3 memory positions and parenthesis for performing longer equations without paper. Also, when you make a mistake, it is very, very, very nice to have the backspace key rather than clearing and starting over. It has all the normal scientific keys and they are pretty clearly marked. The keys are hard plastic and have lasted very well. I use the calculator >5 times each workday and it works just like the day I got it. Although it has been dropped a few times, it has not been subjected to rough service at all.
10-Digit Scientific Calculator is ideal for general math, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, trigonometry and biology. Performs trigonometric functions, lo...More at Discount Office Items
