Great View, History and Imposing Stonework at Monument Hill and Kreische Brewery State Parks

Pros: A beautiful spot with a breathtaking view of the Colorado River Valley.
Cons: Limited availability of tours of the home and Brewery.
Located between Austin and Houston, it's a great stopover and picnic spot. It's burial spot for the soldiers of the Mier Expedition and this part of Texas history is well interpreted. The historic Kreische home is a testament to it's German builder skill...
