This television fits nicely into the life of a college student. For students who have made the transition from VHS to DVD, but still want to watch those awesome VHS's from back in the day, this television is a nice fit. The picture and sound are exceptional and work well in a small space such as an apartment bedroom, college dorm, or any other use as a secondary television in any household.

While I am quite happy with the TV, the remote broke after 2 months. It has now been 12 months without a replacement despite numerous assurances from the "customer service" people somewhere in Southern Asia. If you buy any product from Apex, you'd better pray that it doesn't break down.

I like this TV. The flat screen and stereo make it worthwhile for the 90$ I paid for it. I use the s-video input for DVD and the audio output is a nice feature. The picture quality was better than expected. If I lose the remote it will be no problem because the TV has a control panel. Its silver, and my surround system is silver. The remote sucks but has everything you need, including preset sound and picture settings. nice

I bought this the Apex TV/DVD combo in mid-September. At first, I absolutely loved it!! It does have a crisp picture and excellent sound. However, after using the DVD player all of about 5 times, it has started making a grinding sound during playback...the sound is too loud to enjoy the movie. I now have tried about 30 different DVDs to make sure it was not just the one DVD that was the problem...and the loud grinding occurs with all DVDs. So...while the TV is excellent, I can't use the DVD player at all. I am taking it back today!

You can not get a better deal for the price, we wanted a combo (TV/DVD) for our bedroom due to space restrictions. This television has exceeded our expectations for the price. We bought this on sale at Sears for $221.00.
