The greatest single product ever invented
by sports88crazy ,May 13 '04
Pros: -very easy to use
-incredible sound quality
-3700 song maximum Cons: -need to charge up often
The iPod is by far, the greatest mp3 player ever created. Every aspect of the iPod is incredible, even the box. The sound quality of the iPod is excellent and when you can store up to 3700 songs, it seems like your own on-demand concert, first row at that. The design of the small, 2.4 by 4.1 inch mp3 player is extremely detailed. The rotating wheel is mind-boggling, a person of any age can control this device with great ease. With many small programs including three games, a calender, and contacts list, I can not seem to put my iPod down. The only flaw I can possibly think of is the battery. It seems that my iPod likes to eat up its battery faster than most other, leaving me to sometimes listen to my music through the easy to install and use, iTunes. Although I am nowhere near the 3700 song max, I know through the iTunes music store, and my own personal collection I will get there in no time.

Currently the Best Portable on the Market!
by drewski59 ,Jan 19 '05
Pros: Ease of Use, It's an iPod, Apple minimalism and Quality. Cons: Price, Not very scratch-resistant.
What else can be said that others haven't metioned? This is the better version of the iPod. The all-touch interface is much better than the new clickwheels. And plus, it looks better! Anyways, this player was $400 when I bought it, and the new price points make me regret this. But, I am proud of the fact that I had it before everybody and their moms did!
Useability is fantastic; the best of the bunch. The screen is clear and detailed and the backlight is great. The iPod is also gorgeous. Its looks are second to none in the mp3 player market.
I love leaving my CDs at home in a box, while all of my music fits in my pocket! I also have it wired into my CD deck in my car, and wired into my main stereo system. What great portability. With all of the gadgets you can buy for this thing, it is quickly becoming the 'musthave' portable device.

For the music lover
by jmodesigns ,Nov 06 '04
Pros: User friendly interface, awesome amount of gb, can be docked onto speakers. Cons: low battery-life, is upgraded too quickly.
I love my ipod! The usability is quite simple.
The Itunes software can induce the uncontrollable urge to organize your music down to the album cover (which is a great thing, you'll see all of the info stream across your lcd)
The Ipod can hold contacts and recored voice (it even has some games).
If you love music I would not recommend anything less than 15 gigs. I have 1700 songs on my Ipod at this moment and I still have room for more than 2,000 songs.
I do recommend you buy the Ipod skins so it does not get scratched or damage if it falls.
With all of the accessories out you can always find out something new about your Ipod.
The dock is great and the charger and can brought anywhere. The Ipod is great investment even with the newer one the 'older' ones will never go out of style.

Apple iPod Review
by kaisslave ,Jan 10 '05
Pros: Fast, Reliable, Fun, Excellent Quality, Affordable, Easy to Use Cons: Difficulty connecting to a windows system
I bought this product last year as a Christmas present for myself. This is, by far, the BEST portable media player that I have ever owned and I have experimented with quite a few of them. This device does almost everything that even a palm pilot does as well as being an excellent media player. In my experience the battery life is excellent and long lasting. I have been able to load all of my desired audio to it and listen to it anytime I want. I also found this product very user friendly and easy to use on my Macintosh. I would recommend it to anyone that is searching for a high quality media player that lasts a long time and has excellent service.

Ipod 15 GB
by jessimac4 ,Nov 11 '04
Pros: Durability, dependabilty, and sleek design. Can find accesories all over. Cons: iTunes transfer programcan be a little complicated to use with a windows computer
The Ipod is a great MP# player! The durable design allows dependability for use during sporty activity (I use mine when snowboarding) The hard drive is very fast and wastes no time finding a selected song. The ear bud headphones that the ipod come with have great sound (like a sub woofer in my head).

iPod's Got me Shakin' all over
by lipton44 ,Feb 02 '05
Pros: Touch wheel, Automatic Orginization, On-The-Go playlist, sleep timer, backlight, basically everything Cons: Apple Headphones, that come with it, blow quickly
I got my 15g iPod in May 2004. Since May 2004, it's been the love of my life. It is, without a doubt, the best portable music player in the WORLD! I only have 1 problem with it, but that beef is a large one. I use my iPod every day, but I cant stop thinking how I only get about 2 hours of music. Is it possible for a battery to go out in 9 months? I guess it is. I believe that the third generation of the iPod, with the touch wheel, is much better beause it does not involve as much work and is so much cooler. Also, if you are thinking of buying an iPod, but the 20 gigabyte touvh wheel because it is 100$ dollars more, but includes the dock, which here in Canada, costs 60$ Canadian, and the Case, which is also 60$ Canadian. Do the math and you save 20 bucks and get 5 more gigs of space for 100$ more.

iPod Good For A Year...MAX!!!
by shick ,Oct 01 '04
Pros: Great style, speed, and great storage!!! Cons: Scratches just looking at it, and gloves leave finger prints. Battery life is HORRIBLE!!!
I bought my 15GB iPod about a year ago and since then I've used it on a regular basis (every two or so days). I have to say that the looks of the iPod can't be beat and the storage capacity is amazing. Past that I don't have anything good to say. The back and face scratch and print up just looking at them. I also have to warn buyers about battery life....use battery sparingly 8 hours is a load of $%*@ 6 to begin with and after a year you will be lucky to get 4 out of it. I got to tell you, if you want flash, glitz and glamour buy the iPod. But if functionality is your thing may I suggest the Sony NW-HD1. I also had to buy an extra cable to support USB 2.0 since I don't use Firewire an extra $29.95 to an already steep $350.00 I forked over for the iPod. BUYERS BEWARE!!! Not for heavy usage.

Do not buy an ipod if you listen to hip-hop (any bass).
by ian_collins ,Dec 03 '03
Pros: Excelent menu system and playlist options. Very easy to get the songs you want playing. Cons: Worst audio quality in any portible music device.
The ipod is great in many ways: its gorgeous, it has a good size considering the available space and it has an ingenious system of buttons and menus that make finding music a snap.
There is one problem: It isnt good if you like listening to music. I had a few disc-mans and a cheap 128mb mp3 player which all worked great, but i wanted more memory. I was given an ipod (lucky, it seemed) and i started using it a few weeks ago. So far i've never been more disgusted by horrible sounding audio - using the same 192 mp3's that were on my old mp3 player (sounded great). 50% of all base is distorted horrible. You just have to skip the track. I've searched through forums for this problem and numerous people have it - but no one has a fix. You can try boosting the volume of all your mp3's so the ipod doesnt have to work as hard (turn its volume down), this barely works.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY. (and you have to replace the battery in about a year for 100 dolars. yay...)
